New year, new look! Just a couple of weeks into 2026, Malia White took to Instagram to reveal her stunning hair transformation. The Below Deck Mediterranean alum posted a black-and-white selfie in which she sported a dark, long, choppy bob and layered bangs. Malia told fans she had never rocked this particular style before, which was a bit surprising, as she pulled off the look quite well.
“For the first time in my life I got bangs,” she captioned the January 17 photo.
Malia revealed her new ’do during a London getaway with her friends and boyfriend, Robert Kirby. She shared a peek at the trip and her recent chop in subsequent pictures featuring her beau. One of the snaps showed a smiling Malia with her bangs pushed to the side in a middle part, highlighting just how versatile her cut could be.

Inside Malia White’s ever-changing hair evolution
When viewers were introduced to Malia in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2 (2017), the Florida-raised yachty donned shoulder-length blonde hair with dark roots. She has since switched up her look with a wide range of lengths and colors, including everything from an icy-blonde balayage to chestnut brown extensions to golden mermaid waves.
Before getting bangs, Malia was donning armpit-length brown hair typically styled with soft curls and a middle part — a classic look she debuted at the beginning of 2025.
The Winter House cast member touched on her haircare routine in a 2021 interview with BravoTV.com, revealing her must-have beauty products during the charter seasons.
“For life on deck, I always have a leave-in conditioner,” she explained. “I use Sun Bum spray-in conditioner. Because we’re constantly getting in the water and getting wet, so my hair tangles a lot.”
The bosun also shed light on her preferred off-duty style, which was much more feminine than her deck crew uniform.
“Considering my daily life, I’m constantly dressed as a boy, in deck clothing,” she said. “So when I go out, I love to dress up. I love wearing heels, I love wearing tall stilettos. Wedges, heels, anything like that. I’m short, so I love to wear heels!”
What is Malia White up to these days?
Since exiting Below Deck Mediterranean after Season 6, Malia has kept busy traveling the world and expanding her career. In addition to becoming a yacht charter and sales broker, Malia has dipped her toes into sailing and served as an advisor for the Keira Knightley-starring film The Woman in Cabin 10.
