When Lisa Vanderpump and her business partners Guillermo Zapata and Nathalie Pouille-Zapata threw a party to celebrate SUR’s 20th Anniversary during Vanderpump Rules Season 12, they expected flowing drinks, delicious goat cheese balls, live music, and happy customers. However, they also got a full-blown screaming match between bartender Natalie Maguire and hostess Kimberly Suarez, and Lisa was forced to shut it down in front of SUR patrons.
Here’s what went down: As Lisa spotted Natalie and Kim arguing, Natalie made a move to get Kim out of the bar, causing Kim to shout, “Don’t touch me!” Lisa intervened, and scolded them, “Hey! Hey! We’re not doing that now!”
“I asked her to not be in the bar,” Natalie told Lisa during Episode 7. “Can she go back to the host stand and leave me alone? She came here and is harassing me.”
Kim walked away, muttering, “You know what? I’m going to be professional.”
Once the screaming had subsided, Lisa continued reprimanding Natalie. “There are people right here,” she said, referring to the customers in earshot. When Natalie tried to blame Kim, Lisa responded, “I’m telling you right now. I’ll tell her later. You’re 50 percent of it whether you admit it or not… Don’t roll your eyes at me young lady! Just listen, and stop it.”
How Marcus Johnson instigated a fight between Natalie Maguire and Kim Suarez
Earlier that day, Kim’s boyfriend and fellow SUR-ver, Marcus Johnson, passed along a piece of gossip that helped spark her anger.
“Little snippiness just came my way. So, you know, [SUR assistant manager] Demy [Selem] was b—ching and moaning about putting waters out. I said, ‘I love you!’ She’s like, ‘I love you too!’” Marcus told Kim. “And then Natalie walks by and she goes, ‘Oh, so Kimberly’s okay with you guys telling each other you love each other?’”
An outraged Kim replied, “What is wrong with her? It’s literally an obsession. I honestly want to tell her she needs to stop.”
After her conversation with Marcus, Kim confronted Natalie. “Enough is enough. Stop talking about me and Marcus’ relationship,” Kim told Natalie. “Stop sending jabs. Why do you care so much?”

Natalie explained that she was “just making observations,” and then asked Kim why she was confronting her on shift. “To tell you to shut the f—k up,” Kim said. “You look like an idiot who’s obsessed with my relationship.”
When Natalie argued, “Okay, that’s your opinion,” Kim shot back, “It’s not. Everyone has eyeballs. You look pathetic.”
After the fight, Natalie asked Marcus why she told Kim about the comment.
“I didn’t do nothing,” he said. “Other people heard it.” In her confessional, Natalie maintained Marcus was to blame: “Marcus, what the f—k are you doing? Running to Kimberly. Setting off a bomb,” she told producers.
However, Natalie and Marcus’ second conversation pissed Kim off even more. “She feels that she can vent to you and talk,” Kim told Marcus. “This is exactly what bothers me about her. That she thinks she has access to you, and can be like, ‘Come over here, this is what Kimberly did.’ I don’t want her to have any type of conversation with you about me.”
Kim Suarez and Marcus Johnson break up again after her fight with Natalie Maguire
During the Jan. 20 episode, the on-and-off again couple called things off yet again in response to Kim’s fight with Natalie.
“His whole perspective is, ‘Maybe you’re looking too crazy by not allowing me to do this, or maybe I’m going to look like a bad guy by not talking to her,’” Kim explained to producers.
Natalie and Marcus’ friendship has continually strained his relationship with Kim. Back in the Vanderpump Rules Season 12 premiere, Kim admitted she was upset over Natalie and Marcus’ close relationship, including their “good morning” texts to each other. Things got worse when Marcus said he loved Natalie “to death,” and Natalie added, “He literally said that I’m like a sister to him.”
“Natalie’s one of my closest friends here in L.A.” Natalie shared with a producer during the Dec. 2 episode. “But ever since her breakup, she’s been looking for attention in all the wrong places — including my boyfriend.”
Kim continued: “Natalie was sending Marcus ‘good morning’ texts, which is not appropriate to send anyone you’re not dating. … And then she’s sending him pictures of heels, a guy’s fantasy. They’re called f–k me heels for a reason. I mean, like, really?”

All the drama led to Marcus declaring “I’m falling out of love,” in Episode 2, and later admitting Kim was “not the girl I thought she was.”
When the two subsequently broke up, Kim noticed a pattern. “It’s like a Ross and Rachel breakup, where you’re not actually broken up,” she explained, referencing the sitcom Friends. “Like, you can’t sleep with anybody else. But we’re broken up, and we’re not speaking for a few days.”
