It’s safe to say that Kyle Richards was not a fan of Ashley Darby’s flirty exchange with her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member weighed in on said exchange — which took place on The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10, Episode 15 — in an Amazon Live stream on January 20. “I don’t know how it was portrayed, because I haven’t seen the scenes … But, I mean, if she was flirting, that’s weird,” Kyle said. “I mean, I would never be able to date anybody that any of the women, a Housewife, dated or was married to. That’s just weird, I don’t know … You’re embarrassing yourself, doing that on camera.”
The encounter took place when Ashley and the rest of the cast from RHOP jetted off to Kemo Sabe in Aspen (Kyle’s favorite hat store, BTW) while on their Colorado trip. And while Ashley denied having eyes for the 90210-based luxury real estate founder, Gizelle Bryant put the kibosh on “the Mauricio of it all,” calling him “off limits” to all — herself included. “He just bumped into them,” Kyle contended on her live stream.
As for Gizelle — who said on The Real Housewives of Potomac After Show that she “would have definitely pounced on him” had he not been married to Kyle for 30 years — Kyle didn’t feel as strongly.
“Gizelle, I will say, she texted me right away because she felt uncomfortable,” Kyle explained. “She’s like, ‘Just so you know, we just ran into Mauricio and blah, blah, blah,’ and I was like, ‘All good.’ I mean, I don’t care, you know? Everyone can do what they want.”

Mauricio ran into the Potomac ladies as they were shopping at Aspen hotspot Kemo Sabe. Ashley was immediately intrigued, telling her “wingwoman” Stacey Rusch, “He’s a single man now.”
The two proceeded to follow Mauricio out of the store after he mentioned that he planned to hit the town solo that evening, but unfortunately for Ashley, Gizelle turned up and intervened. “Mauricio, we’re going to let you go, because these ladies right here are a hot mess,” she said. “Keep your tongues in your mouth!”

In her defense, Ashley — less than one year divorced from Michael Darby — said, “I feel like enough time has passed” since Kyle and Mauricio’s October 2023 split, but Gizelle didn’t agree. On the RHOP After Show, Gizelle denied being “jealous” over Ashley’s crush and shared why she thought Ashley and Mauricio were a bad idea.
“Everything I could think of in that moment was I don’t want a Beverly Hills-Potomac showdown,” Gizelle said. “I don’t want it. Those girls on Beverly Hills would be pissed … I don’t want Erika Jayne on my phone. I don’t want Dorit [Kemsley] on my phone. None of them.”
