Andy Cohen has reacted to the “bombshell news” that Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke are separating after four years of marriage. On Monday, Jan. 19, the Summer House cast members announced that they were splitting, which has since garnered a reaction from the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host.
Andy addressed the news on WWHL on Tuesday, Jan. 20, where he said that he was “proud” of Kyle and Amanda for making the best decision for themselves in deciding to separate. “I am sure that was a difficult decision, but we are proud of you two for choosing what is best for you,” he said.
“Because, to paraphrase a certain someone, marriage should be fun,” he added, referencing Kyle’s line from Summer House Season 2. “We wish you both the very best,” he concluded.
After the clip was posted to WWHL’s Instagram account, Kyle took to the comments of the post, where he left his own reaction to Andy’s kind words. The Loverboy founder commented a crying emoji and a red heart emoji in response to the clip.

Both Kyle and Amanda took to their Instagram Stories on Monday, Jan. 19, where they announced their separation in a joint statement. “After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they wrote.
“We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing,” they continued. “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter. Amanda & Kyle.”

Inside Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s marriage on Summer House Season 10
Kyle and Amanda’s relationship will play out on the upcoming season of Summer House. In the trailer for Season 10, Amanda can be seen having certain hesitancy about Kyle’s career as a DJ. “I wanted him to stop going out and partying, and he found a career where he goes out late and parties,” she said in a voice-over in the trailer.
Kyle, meanwhile, expressed his frustrations about Amanda’s lack of support to his friend, Carl Radke. “I played the biggest gig in my life, but Amanda couldn’t care less,” he noted. “I don’t know what matters to her anymore.”
