Southern Charm’s Rodrigo Reyes is about to say “I do,” and his friends Austen Kroll and Craig Conover are helping in a significant way.
On the Southern Charm After Show for Season 11, Episode 8, the engaged Rodrigo revealed he and fiancé, Tyler Dugas, will likely tie the knot at The Waverly, the wedding venue jointly owned by none other than business partners Austen and Craig. When asked about where the wedding would take place, Rodrigo said, “I think it’s gonna be in Charleston,” before motioning toward Austen sitting beside him.
“Honestly, what I think is — I did run this by Austen — I was like, ‘You and Craig just opened an event spot in downtown Charleston; I think it’d be perfect to have all our friends there downtown,” the interior designer and floral arranger told producers.
Austen agreed that The Waverly would set the “perfect” stage for the couple of nearly 10 years, where the grooms can conveniently hold the ceremony, reception, and afterparty all in one place. “He was very generous to say, ‘Rod, of course. You’re my friend, like, this is a gift,’” Rodrigo continued. “I think that’s lovely, and I’d be a fool not to take advantage of that.”
Rodrigo added that he’s considering asking Craig to officiate the wedding — a role Craig teased to The Daily Dish in August — though he said he’d be happy to have Molly O’Connell or Madison LeCroy carry the honor, too.
What is Austen Kroll and Craig Conover’s venue, The Waverly?
Austen and Craig — already the successful owners of Charleston’s By The Way restaurant — proudly teamed up with the Uptown Hospitality Group to deliver a one-stop place for one’s nuptial needs, announcing the venue in July 2025.

“After a successful partnership on By The Way, it only made sense to join forces again,” they said in their joint announcement. “This time, bringing that same energy and vision to Charleston’s event scene.”
With a 3,000-square-foot reception hall, attention-to-detail landscaping, and several outdoor areas, “The Waverly blends classic Southern charm with modern elegance, creating the perfect backdrop for any celebration,” according to the business’s website.
Craig elaborated on why he chose to get into the wedding business during an exclusive August interview with The Daily Dish. “My brother and sister-in-law just got married in October in Charleston, and we got to see the challenges that exist there, and the barrier of entry of being married in Charleston is tough. It takes a long time, so we wanted to make it a little bit more approachable for people. Now you can have your ceremony, reception, and after party all in one place.”
Rodrigo Reyes shares his and Tyler Dugas’ wedding plans
The cast wore white to Rodrigo and Tyler’s Santorini-themed engagement party, as featured on Southern Charm Season 11, Episode 8, reflecting the Greek city where Rodrigo got down on one knee and proposed in August 2024. Rodrigo even designed the floral arrangements for the special event himself.

“Wedding planning is going so good … It’s going so well, I don’t even know where to begin,” Rodrigo reported in the After Show, adding that they planned to walk down the aisle sometime in 2026. All said, both grooms continued to juggle wedding planning with their day-to-day lives, including getting new cars and plans to renovate their kitchen.
“You know, I have a big family, he has a big family, and his family believes in, like, one cousin gets married, every cousin is there,” Rodrigo continued. “So it’s like that.”
