The Valley: Persian Style‘s Reza Farahan and Mercedeh Javid had some things to get off their chests when Golnesa Gharachedaghi’s ex-husband Dennis DeSantis crashed the cast’s Palm Springs trip — and they held nothing back.

The friend group was out celebrating Adam Farahan’s birthday during Episode 4 when Dennis unexpectedly showed up at the dinner. After deciding to revive their business partnership, despite their 10-day marriage ending in a messy split, Golnesa had invited Dennis to the celebration, unbeknownst to her castmates.

Mercedeh was the first to defend Golnesa while unloading on Dennis at the table.

“As someone who cares about her, I don’t like the way you stepped in and out of her life … without any explanation,” Mercedeh vented. “I want you to know that the reason why it was so easy for me to ice you out and ghost you is because I thought what you did to Golnesa was cruel. So, for you to just slide into this dinner spot with us is zero accountability.”

When Dennis alleged that Golnesa had treated him “like s–t” throughout their 13-year friendship, Mercedeh fired back, “I want you to be accountable for today. … I don’t like the way that you’re casual and unaccountable for the things that you were doing to people that you claim to care about.”

Dennis, meanwhile, insisted that he wasn’t wrong to move on so quickly with Golnesa’s friend, because, as he put it, she and the other woman were never as close as she had claimed.

“Even if she wasn’t her friend, you still left her,” Mercedeh replied. “You still got together with somebody two seconds later. And then you got shacked up, and then you put [engagement] rings on Instagram. The way you live for the ‘gram is something else. What does marriage mean to you that you get engaged four times in one year?”

Dennis responded by saying, “Honestly, I don’t care,” prompting Mercedeh to shoot back, “I know. That’s why [there’s a] problem.”

Reza Farahan unpacked his issues with Dennis DeSantis

Reza, for his part, entered the chat to reveal that, like Mercedeh, he would have Golnesa’s back no matter what — even if she committed a crime. That’s why however she may or may not have treated Dennis in the past was of little consequence in his blind support for his “homey,” Golnesa.

“Dennis, I feel how I feel because she was very hurt,” Reza told him, referencing the aftermath of their breakup in late 2024. “And I experienced her hurt.”

He elaborated in a confessional, “I’m not cool with Dennis right now. He hurt my friend GG, and when you hurt a friend of mine, you hurt me.”

Either way, Reza further admitted to a producer that he was “pissed” that Golnesa invited Dennis without telling anybody. As Dennis reasoned to him, however, “Listen, if she was OK with me being here, then you guys should be OK.”

Why Golnesa Gharachedaghi invited ex Dennis DeSantis to Palm Springs

Throughout the trio’s heated confrontation on The Valley: Persian Style‘s Jan. 22 episode, Golnesa had more or less remained quiet, later telling a producer that “127 percent” of her was “enjoying” being a spectator.

“It is a f–k you to Dennis,” she added. “It’s for him to understand that I’m not the only one who thought his actions were wrong.”

Amid the dustup, birthday boy Adam told Golnesa in a side conversation, “I’m kind of bothered you didn’t tell me that he was coming,” before asking the reason why she invited her ex-turned-business-partner in the first place.

“Because he’s back in my life, and we’re going to start working,” Golnesa answered. “At some point, he has to come across all of you. He has to address you and Reza and MJ at some point.”

As she further explained in a confessional, “I knew what I was doing when I invited Dennis. And now that he and I are going to get back into business together, I feel like, at some point, I have to tell everyone. And why not just do it all at the same time? There’s a bunch of other people who have opinions, and here they are to say it.”
