Hindsight is 20/20, and The Valley: Persian Style’s Mercedeh Javid is getting a hearty dose as she watches Season 1 back. More specifically, she has thoughts about seeing her and Tommy Feight’s on-screen tiffs, which were filmed months before the couple called it quits on their marriage.

As the established real estate agent put it when speaking to The Daily Dish, “Those scenes are hard to watch, but I also lived it a lot, and I love him very much, and I think that the love is always there, but it’s hard to watch, too. I’m still processing it.”
Mercedeh and Tommy — who share 6-year-old son, Shams Francis Feight — split in October after seven years of marriage, and the lead-up is continuing to play out on the show’s inaugural season.
When it comes to who from the now-estranged couple might have the most to answer for after the season wraps, MJ reluctantly said it would probably be Tommy.

But, as for who from the entire cast would have the most to answer for, Mercedeh didn’t hesitate to volunteer Sky Askari. “I think that when you watch the season, you’re gonna see something I certainly didn’t expect from Sky, and … she’s chosen a side.” Mercedeh cryptically said before specifying that Sky’s stance didn’t pertain to her and Tommy’s split.
Mercedeh continued, “No spoilers, obviously, but I’m just saying, the person who might have the most explaining to do might be Sky for the falling outs that you’ll watch happen.”

Why did Mercedeh Javid file for divorce from Tommy Feight?
Those surprised by Mercedeh’s decision to file for divorce discovered her motives when she spoke earlier this month to The Daily Dish. She cited “self-preservation” as the primary reason, but commended her and Tommy’s willingness and amiability to co-parent their only child. “Well, filing was a choice out of self-preservation and self-worth, that’s what that move was,” she said. “You can choose that and love someone at the same time and prioritize your baby boy, which we’re both doing really well. I’m really impressed with how well we’re holding it down in this new chapter.”
That said, the now-single mom had had only good things to say about Tommy on the Jan. 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I didn’t leave the marriage because I stopped loving him,” she maintained. “I love him, and he’s the love of my life.”
Mercedeh Javid reveals her and Tommy Feight’s current living situation
Mercedeh now lives in a new home not far from her estranged husband, even though the separation made her “afraid of the future” concerning their son, Shams. But now that they’re “in a good place” regarding co-parenting, Mercedeh is enjoying her independence as they split their son’s time.

“My current home, so, obviously Tommy and I moved out, but we’re in a cul-de-sac very close to each other, so it is very like new beginnings,” Mercedeh told The Daily Dish. “Like, on the mornings that I have to wake up alone, I feel like I am 19 years old in my 19-year-old condo, which is wild and cool because it makes me feel like I’m young again, and then there is something really invigorating about having a space that’s totally yours.”
