Below Deck Down Under Season 4 After Show Trailer, Details

Bravo fans are in for a boat-load of Below Deck Down Under, because when Season 4 premieres on Feb. 2, so does the Below Deck Down Under After Show.

Each week, viewers can look forward to the BDDU Season 4 cast — Captain Jason Chambers, Daisy Kelliher, Ben Robinson, João Franco, Alesia Harris, Betul Yazici, Mike Durrant, Jenna Woudberg, and Eddy Hounsell — as well as Kate Chastain, breaking down each episode’s most explosive drama and can’t-miss moments.

In the After Show trailer, which you can check out at the top of this post, the yachties already have plenty to say about boatmances, life at sea, and more. Read on to hear what they have to say and to get all the details on the Below Deck Down Under After Show.

Captain Jason Chambers and Daisy Kelliher on the Below Deck Down Under After Show for Season 4

When asked about workplace romances in the BDDU After Show trailer, Daisy says, “I’m a big believer that there are two things that drive us in the world, which is romance and money.” That said, Daisy insists she’s not interested in a boatmance this time around, despite sharing multiple kisses and flirty exchanges with João in the Season 4 trailer.

“It’s really not the energy I was trying to give out,” continues the Irish yachtie hopping over from Below Deck Sailing Yacht. “I really was trying to be like, ‘I’m unattractive; nobody look my way,’” to which Capt. Jason has a good laugh.

Later in the After Show trailer, Capt. Jason shyly scratches his head when Daisy playfully brings up relationships of a sexual nature. “I do love love, and if I ever vibe with someone or [have] a connection, I’m not gonna deprive myself of great sex.”

Kate Chastain and Ben Robinson on the Below Deck Down Under After Show for Season 4

Kate and Ben, part of the Below Deck franchise since its earliest days, agree that a “delusional work boatmance” can be a great way to boost morale.

As Kate puts it, “I think it’s great for morale because it makes people stuck on a boat wake up every day … if they’ve got a little crush, they wake up excited, like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna see my crush.’ Maybe they do their hair a little more, they care a little bit more, and they’re excited to be there, and it’s hard to find excitement to be trapped on a boat.”

“Yeah, I think it’s healthy, too,” Ben adds.

Mike Durrant and João Franco on the Below Deck Down Under After Show for Season 4

João, for his part, doesn’t believe on-board romances are all that they’re cracked up to be. “They never work out, ever. They really don’t,” he flatly tells producers. “I don’t want to be a pessimist on this one, but I’ve not known any that have worked out.”

Looking back at his Below Deck Down Under boatmance with Tzarina Mace-Ralph, João — last reported to be dating Domi Tiesi — admits things “didn’t end great” with the chef.

As he put it, “After learning all of that, I need just to be more precise and more certain because if you don’t lay the boundaries right from the start, people are going to get mixed emotions and you end up hurting everybody more.”

Mike, on the other hand, describes himself as “a very flirtatious person,” explaining why, during the show’s first-of-its-kind crossover with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, he turned on the charm for Britani Bateman.

“I’m the type of person who I’ll always try and work my charm, have a little neck on — which is a kiss, you know — and have a bit of flirty banter,” the English stew and deckhand says. “If I’m attracted to someone, I’m gonna give it a shot.”

Alesia Harris, Betul Yazici, and Jenna Woudberg on the Below Deck Down Under After Show for Season 4

Sous Chef Alesia Harris didn’t find any of her other crewmates necessarily “sexy,” but insists that new stew Jenna Woudberg had. As Jenna admits, “I love a good flirt,” which explains why she and Ben will find themselves in each other’s arms in Season 4.

Heading into the season, the new stew added that she had hoped to “find somebody, latch onto them so we can go through this wild adventure together.”

Eddy Hounsell on the Below Deck Down Under After Show for Season 4

While New Zealand-based deckhand Eddy Hounsell doesn’t weigh in on the topic of boatmances, he does tell producers what he hoped for as a new addition to the M/Y Katina. Going in, he wanted to “work on [his] skills of confrontation,” he admits.
