The end of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 10 marked a major new beginning in Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron’s relationship.
During the Below Deck Med Season 10 finale, Gael decided to give their relationship another chance, while underscoring that she and Nathan would be taking “baby steps,” however.
Fast-forward to 11 months later, and the couple had become first-time parents to son Kayden Cameron Gallagher, who was born in June 2025, as Nathan prepared to embark upon another charter season near Dubrovnik, Croatia.

How Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron reunited on Below Deck Med Season 10
On the heels of their breakup after Season 9. Nathan and Gael remained friends. During the more recent charter season, however, Nathan realized that he was still in love with his onetime fellow deckhand and endeavored to win her back. The opportunity eventually arose when Captain Sandy Yawn tapped Gael to temporarily fill in on the Bravado crew, but she cited lingering past hurt for her continued reluctance to rekindle her relationship with Nathan.
Things officially turned the corner, however, when Gael, who had agreed to remain in Spain until the charter season ended, joined Nathan on the cast’s final night out in Barcelona.
“If Gael slips through my fingers, I’d be devastated,” Nathan declared to a producer. “I’m gonna prove to her that I wanna be with her forever. It all comes down to tonight.”

As Gael put it in her confessional, “Seeing Nathan last week, I wouldn’t have expected it to go as well as it did. I thought I’d closed that and, like, bricked it up shut. But actually, something seems different about him, and I’m just trying to figure out if I take that risk again or I don’t.”
During their group dinner, Nathan revealed his post-filming plans to fly to Gael’s home in Australia. Afterward, Gael agreed to give him “one chance,” which he happily accepted, before they spent the night together in one of Bravado‘s guest cabins.
“We spent time apart, so we’ve grown as people; we’ve changed,” Nathan reasoned in a joint confessional. “So, we need to spend time with each other and see if we actually enjoy each other’s company again.”

Indeed, Nathan and Gael seemed to rediscover how much they enjoyed each other’s company while traveling the world together after Season 10 wrapped.
They publicly announced they had gotten back together in September 2024, and then, in April 2025, Gael and Nathan exclusively revealed to The Daily Dish that they were expecting their first child together. “We’re beyond excited to share our adventures with our tiny travel buddy,” they said at the time, before eventually welcoming their baby, Kayden, in June.
During a recent Instagram Q&A, Gael clarified that they discovered she was pregnant with Kayden well after she returned to Below Deck.
“We were not expecting during Season 10,” Gael explained in an IG video, while holding her son. “It was filmed way before Little Man was any way, shape, or form in existence.”
Since giving birth, Gael and Nathan have posted behind-the-scenes looks at their family life, along with many of their son’s milestones, via social media. For now, you can expect a brief pause on those posts, at least from the new dad’s accounts, however.
On Jan. 10, Nathan announced on his Instagram Stories that he was taking a six-month break from “all socials” but promised that he would return on June 19 “with a lot of content.”
