As Lisa Vanderpump hosted the eighth annual World Dog Day in West Hollywood during Vanderpump Rules Season 12, she got support for her very important cause from Vanderpump Rules alum and self-professed dog lover Tom Schwartz. The TomTom bar co-owner popped up during Episode 9 to show Lisa (and all the dogs) a little love.
“Miss you!” Tom declared as he shared a hug with Lisa during the Feb. 3 episode, before the two took a selfie together. “You’ve been working out!” Lisa noted, to which Tom replied, “A little bit!”
Lisa posted a thank-you message on her Instagram following the event in May 2025, and even included Schwartz in a video looking back at the day.
It’s not the first time Schwartz has championed the event. Back in 2018, he and his now ex-wife Katie Maloney brought their beloved fur babies, Butter and Gordo, to support the cause. That year, Schwartz even competed in the doggy lookalike competition.
Lisa Vanderpump explains the significance of World Dog Day on Vanderpump Rules
Fans will recall Lisa has celebrated World Dog Day throughout several seasons on Vanderpump Rules.
“World Dog Day is one of my favorite days of the year,” Lisa shared during the Feb. 3 episode. “It’s like my birthday times a thousand. Over the years this event has grown exponentially. We’ve saved thousands of dogs, and I think we’re very well-respected in the rescue community.”
World Dog Day is sponsored by Lisa’s business, Vanderpump Dogs, and the Vanderpump Dog Foundation, which Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd, first launched in 2016. Although Lisa’s love for her canine friends is well-known, she turned that passion into activism after learning about the Yulin Dog Meat festival in China around that time.

Lisa has also showcased her dog rescue center in the Peacock series Vanderpump Dogs. “We created this rescue center, and with our incredible team, we have found homes for more than 2,000 dogs,” she said during the series back in 2021.
An update on Tom Schwartz’s life since Vanderpump Rules
Lisa recently revealed that Tom Schwartz is her “favorite” Vanderpump Rules alum during her appearance on Schwartz’s Detox Retox podcast in Dec. 2025, which was recorded at Vanderpump Dogs. The two still work closely together at their West Hollywood hotspot, TomTom Bar and Restaurant, and both promoted a New Year’s Eve party at the establishment.
Schwartz has shown behind-the-scenes looks at TomTom, including what he calls his “Saturday hangs” with patrons, and even a brunch with SUR manager Peter Madrigal (who also made a cameo on Vanderpump Rules Season 12). Schwartz noted that TomTom is “still popping” on his social media.

As far as his personal life goes, he’s enjoying his time with his new girlfriend, Kiana Carroll, sharing social media snaps of the two cuddling up at TomTom in Jan. 2026.
“She’s the love of my life. She’s amazing,” Tom gushed during BravoCon 2025 in November. “I’m happy. I feel like I’m under a love spell right now, and it’s a great place to be. I’ve got the rose colored lenses on.”
Schwartz is also set to make a bigger return to Bravo when he joins The Valley Season 3 as a full-time cast member, along with Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent. The announcement was made during BravoCon.
