ICYMI: Teddi Mellencamp remains booked and busy in her career. She surprised everyone this week when she was unmasked competing on a singing reality show. Teddi, whose dad is famous musician John Mellencamp, may have grown up in a musical family, and she put her own skills to work in her latest TV appearance.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was revealed this week to be the Calla Lily on The Masked Singer, even singing one of her dad’s famous songs, “Jack and Diane.” “The secret is out! I hope you enjoyed watching my [Calla Lily Mask] journey on The Masked Singer as much as I did performing! I really had the most amazing time,” she wrote after the episode, adding, “Hope I made [John Mellencamp] proud.”

Of course, Teddi’s dad, John, couldn’t miss the chance to be there with his daughter in person on her big night as he continues to support her. The rocker flew out to California to be by Teddi’s side to watch the episode and see her get unmasked as the Calla Lily. He was joined by other members of Teddi’s family for the reveal. She shared the moment on her Instagram Stories, where he even sang a bit of “Jack and Diane” for her followers and shared he flew out to the West Coast especially for the big night.
Several of Teddi’s friends from the Real Housewives family left celebratory messages in the comments on her Instagram. Of course, BFF, Kyle Richards, was among them. “I can’t believe you were able to do this with everything you are going through,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member wrote. “Proud of you Ted.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Tamra Judge, who co-hosts the Two Ts In a Pod podcast with Teddi, added, “You crushed it. So proud of you my TWOT!”

According to E!, Teddi opened up a bit about how health affected her in the competition. Over the last few years, Teddi has been battling Stage 4 cancer, which later included a diagnosis of multiple brain tumors after initially being diagnosed with melanoma (skin cancer).
“I’m not a singer by trade, clearly, and so that part was challenging for me,” she said. “Also, a big part of my memory has been askew since my brain surgery. So I was a little bit nervous, but I was excited to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new, and it felt like it gave me a little bit of life.”

Teddi Mellencamp shares the latest news in her cancer journey
While Teddi is still undergoing treatment, her prognosis remains positive. Days before the Masked Singer reveal, Teddi shared an update on her cancer journey on her Instagram Stories as she continues to undergo immunotherapy. “There’s still no trace of cancer. But immunotherapy still does a number on me, and I’m dealing with finally processing everything mentally,” she wrote. “I always give updates on [the podcast] as well.”
Of course, Teddi has always been open about her cancer journey, including revealing more details recently on how she’s navigating her health these days.
