Kyle Richards appeared to be surer than ever that Mauricio Umansky couldn’t spin his way out of midlife crisis rumors on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, thanks to her estranged husband’s newest hobby.
While touring daughter Alexia Umansky’s wedding venue during Season 15, Episode 8, the discussion turned to the dance area’s sound system. “Well, now Dad’s taking DJ lessons,” Kyle told her 29-year-old daughter, before joking that she should “let him do the party.”
When the wedding planner asked if Mauricio was really learning how to DJ, Kyle quipped, “Don’t get me started,” before adding in a confessional, “That’s a hard no for me, and a hard no for Alexia.”

Kyle’s friend and personal assistant, Jenn, meanwhile, asked Mauricio directly if he was getting a feel for the turntables so that he could “have a big debut” at Alexia’s wedding to Jake Zingerman, which eventually took place in September 2025, but he denied that it was the case.
“I love music,” Mauricio explained. “I have time on my hands, so, like, why not take on a new hobby?”
That’s when Kyle declared to a producer, “We already have enough rumors about you going through a midlife crisis. Do you have to add fuel to the fire? His DJ name is going to be Mau-mentum.”

This was hardly the first time that Kyle has playfully skewered Mauricio’s lifestyle choices since they announced their separation in October 2023.
Earlier on in Season 15, for example, Kyle roasted her ex for the frequency he’s caught on camera engaging in PDA with various women, as well as how often he goes out partying at 55 years old, even after he traded his high-rise “bachelor pad condo” for a “proper home” in the Hollywood Hills.

When Kyle visited Mauricio’s new home for the first time, he joked about being in the “hoe stage” of his post-split dating life.Â
“I’m just more discreet,” Kyle said at the time. “I don’t need to go to the hot spots, and I’m also more aware. And it’s taken him a while to get used to that, because he’s not used to being followed by paparazzi. So, that was new since our separation, and he had to learn that they’re actually watching and hiding.”
As she pointed out, however, Mauricio often chooses to hit the town simply because he doesn’t like going home to an empty house, which she said was “understandable.”
Rewinding to RHOBH Season 14, Kyle also outwardly declared that Mauricio was “giving major midlife crisis vibes,” based on his purchase of a “big monster truck” that she referred to as his “midlife-crisis-mobile.”

Even though Kyle has made no secret that their ongoing separation has been amicable — and neither has filed for divorce yet — she recently dashed hopes for a reconciliation with Mauricio.
While blasting rumors that she and Mauricio had gotten back together over the holidays on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Kyle revealed that their recent family trip to Aspen might have helped her make up her mind about how to move forward.
“I know now what I need to do,” Kyle said in the clip, which was filmed in January 2026, after detailing how Mauricio had made her feel “invisible” throughout the Colorado getaway. “I think this trip told me everything I need to know.”
When a producer asked if anything could change her mind, she answered, “I don’t think so.”
