Austen Kroll and Shep Rose have gone through their ups and downs in their friendship. But, the Southern Charm cast members are in a very good place today after filming the Southern Charm Season 11 reunion.
Austen took to his Instagram Story over the weekend, where he revealed that he had spent quite a few days in NYC appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, filming the Southern Charm Season 11 reunion, and hanging out at the reunion afterparty. And during this time, the TropHop founder “secured a wedding date” in the form of Shep.
Both Shep and Austen were able to make the trek from NYC to Harbour Island, Bahamas, where they attended a wedding for one of Austen’s friends. In a photo posted to Austen’s Instagram Story, he can be seen wearing a tan suit and drinking a beer alongside Shep, who looked so happy to be at the resort with him.
“This wedding really has us thinking about our future,” Austen wrote over the photo. “Not with each other…but we’ve real[ly] flourished as each other’s date.”

Austen also took to his Instagram feed on Sunday, where he posted a photo of himself and Shep in their bathing suits and coverups, hanging out on swings at the resort, smiling for the camera. He then took to the caption of the post, where he ranked Shep a “6.5/10” as a wedding date. “Kept looking at and talking about other girls,” Austen wrote. “Would bring to another if he asked me more questions about myself.”
Shep then took to the comments of the post, where he cheekily defended his wedding behavior. “A date weekend can strengthen or destroy a relationshep [relationship]. I vote for the former,” he wrote. “Also. I’m just trying to make him jealous and therefore like me more by mentioning other love interests. Oldest trick in the book.”
Austen’s former flame, Summer House‘s Lindsay Hubbard, also took to the comments, where she revealed that she would be a better wedding date. “Take me next time. We can order McDonald’s and red wine,” she wrote, along with a crying while laughing emoji.

Shep Rose shares insights into friendships with Austen Kroll and Craig Conover pre-reunion
Shep recently spoke with The Daily Dish ahead of the Southern Charm Season 11 reunion, where he revealed that he is still pretty close to Austen and Craig Conover. “Austen and I, I would say, talk more — I know for a fact, talk more than Austen and Craig do,” he said. “Craig and I are in a good spot, though. And we’re on a text chain [with] the whole cast. It’s very positive and fun and playful. That’s really something that hasn’t ever existed before. So everyone’s good.”
But Shep admitted that prior to the reunion, he had been collecting his thoughts about Season 11. This included “a few notes” on an exchange between Craig and Austen.
