“Another day, another apartment issue,” Lindsay Hubbard recently declared. In the week since her New York City home flooded, the Summer House cast member has experienced a series of household problems that have made her living situation… well, “hell.” Lindsay documented the repair and renovation process on Instagram, admitting the journey had left her “mentally exhausted.”
The former public relations specialist posted a video of her laundry closet, where the aforementioned flood began. As previously reported, a maintenance crew had ripped open one of Lindsay’s walls in an attempt to find the valve for a broken water pipe. The workers returned to her apartment the following day to replace the damaged pipes and valve, add new drywall and insulation, and install an emergency shut-off valve.
“Don’t ask me about the flooring yet please.. That’s like a next week project,” she captioned a video of the demolished laundry closet wall.

But the broken water main wasn’t Lindsay’s only issue. Shortly after discovering the flooding, Lindsay noticed that her apartment was not staying warm.
“The separate situation is that my heaters have not been working in my living room/dining room area,” she said in a subsequent video. “I’m on plumber number eight. Everyone’s trying to figure out why the heaters aren’t working. It’s unrelated to the leak from last night, completely separate.”

Lindsay said the experts were concerned that the heating malfunction was due to another damaged water pipe. They then realized there were only two radiators under the window units, which prevented the home from maintaining a comfortable temperature.
“I have absolute mental overload of information,” Lindsay confessed. “My brain is trying to consume all of this contractor lingo and relay it to every technician and their bosses and their dispatchers and my super… I’m mentally exhausted. So, I don’t know. Send wine. That’s all I got.”

While the radiators were on the fritz, Lindsay decided to use space heaters and humidifiers throughout her living room and dining areas. But it wasn’t long before Lindsay hit another problem.
“I’m freezing because none of these outlets work,” she said in an Instagram Story. “So, the space heaters aren’t turning on.”
Lindsay went directly to the electrical panel to fix the issue. She shared the moment in an Instagram video, which caught the attention of Cindy Zadnikar Gulbranson, the mother of Summer House alum Luke Gulbranson.
As shown on Instagram, Cindy sent Lindsay a message informing her that the tripped breaker “would be in the off position,” and all Lindsay would have to do is switch it back on. And guess what? Cindy’s suggestion worked.
“Found the tripped breaker!” Lindsay wrote. “Luke’s mom to the rescue!”

Since then, Lindsay’s apartment heating has been activated, the water pipes have been patched, and, as of February 10, the plumbing crew was finishing up her laundry closet. Although the updates were moving along, the ordeal left Lindsay understandably irritated.
“6 months later… today… current hell,” she captioned a video of plastic curtains around her dryer/washing unit.
