It wouldn’t be the first crew night out without a little dancing and flirting, and deckhand Eddy Hounsell was the first one to make a move when he boogied a little closer to sous chef-turned-stew Alesia Harris during Below Deck Down Under Season 4, Episode 3.
However, his dreams of a boatmance came crashing down after he joked about a kiss to Alecia, and she responded, “You can’t get the wrong opinion. I’m a taken woman. I’ve got a boyfriend.”
Alecia then spilled the details on her boyfriend Harrison in a confessional interview during the Feb. 16 episode, starting off with where they met: the town of Whistler in British Columbia, Canada.
“He was standing on the chairs, dancing,” she continued. “He pulled me up. He said, ‘Do you know what, darling? Do you want a drink?’ And that was that, really.”
Alesia admitted during filming that she and her boyfriend had “only been together ten months.”
What’s more, “He knows I’m like, really, really flirty,” she confessed.

Eddy was thrown off guard by her confession. As he put it, “There’s flirtiness, but then she’s not. She is just giving out mixed signals.”
Alesia did admit that the flirting wasn’t all in Eddy’s head. “If I had to take anyone home, it would probably be Eddy,” she said, and later added, “For the record, with Eddy, I did think about it. It did cross my mind.”
Is Alesia Harris still dating her boyfriend Harrison today?
Alesia and her boyfriend Harrison appear to be still going strong, after she posted a reflection of her 2025 on her Instagram on Jan. 5, and included pics of the couple. She captioned the post, “The past year can’t be captured in photos but honestly having a [whale emoji] of a time.”
Harrison made his first appearance on Alesia’s Instagram in a post she made about her vacation in Whistler on Jan. 2, 2025, as the two were captured on camera snuggled up in winter gear. While Alesia continued to hang out in Whistler in February 2025, she added more snaps of the two hanging out with friends. The couple’s adventures continued in August, as she posted a reel to her Instagram of the two in a gondola with friends and hiking along mountains, as well as sharing a kiss in the sunset.
A look back at Alesia Harris’ Below Deck Down Under boatmances
ICYMI, Eddy wasn’t the first deck crew member Alesia’s chatted up and danced with during her time on Below Deck Down Under. During Season 4, she was briefly romantically linked to deckhand Johnny Arvanitis.
“The energy that Johnny is giving me is intense,” she gushed during a reel posted to Bravo’s Below Deck Instagram. “It just gives you the fanny flutters. You’re just like [purring noise] okay. And if that comes in the form of this sexy Greek man, go on!”
After Captain Jason Chambers was forced to fire Johnny and bosun Wihan Du Toit, new bosun Nate Salmon joined the crew — and also struck up a boatmance with Alesia.
“We have a connection that’s like undeniable,” she confessed in Episode 15. “But, I obviously don’t want to get my emotions tangled up because I’ve just done that. However, he’s good-looking. Charming.”

The two embarked upon a romantic sunset date on the deck of M/Y Katina, and their kisses were memorably watched on CCTV inside the crew mess by most of the crew. But when Nate later joked to the crew about their “smoochies,” Alesia was horrified.
“I can’t believe he called it ‘smoochie,’” she moaned. “Oh no, I can’t. Please stop. Because I actually, I might throw up. The word ‘smoochies’ should never be said.”
She explained why she was ending her boatmance in her confessional: “‘Smoochies’ is like baby talk isn’t it? Like just doesn’t do it for me.”
