Olivia Flowers is sharing new details about why she decided to call off her November 2025 wedding. The Southern Charm alum was slated to marry her longtime boyfriend, Alex Williams, before they ended their engagement in October. And now she is opening up about it.
The influencer spoke with Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea on Feb. 13, where she revealed that she and Alex had made the decision to call off the wedding together. “Honestly, we had so much stress about things post-wedding, and I think we were kind of like scapegoating the wedding like, ‘This is why we’re stressed.’ But then three weeks out from the wedding, the wedding’s done being planned, like, you’re done, and we’re still feeling that stress,” she explained.
“So we had a lot of difficult conversations, but they were essential, l and we realized we were both feeling stressed and nervous about things post-wedding,” she continued. After talking to both of their families, Olivia and Alex decided to “take a beat” for themselves and “hit pause” on things before walking down the aisle. “The wedding, it got very big, and as much fun as I had planning it, it did kind of get away from me,” she noted.

She also revealed to the outlet that they called off the wedding to “get back in alignment with each other.” “We both really want to focus on our careers,” she added. Olivia admitted that things changed in their lives amid their wedding planning and engagement. Alex’s career brought him to another city, Olivia wanted to spend more time in New York, and “it was just a lot of moving parts,” she explained, which allowed them to “pivot” and give themselves more time in their relationship.

Olivia confirmed that she and Alex are “still together” after calling off their wedding, and she is still wearing her engagement ring today. However, they have not set a new date for their wedding and are not “making plans” but are “staying present in the moment.”

Olivia had previously taken to her Instagram Story earlier this year, where she revealed that she has some exciting things planned for the future. She shared that she will be splitting her time “between Dallas & NYC this year.” She also admitted that she would like to “stop overthinking” in 2026. “But that’s been my plan since 2016, so,” she added.
