Rob Reiner’s Son Pleads Not Guilty to Parents’ Murders – Crime Online

Rob Reiner’s son appeared in a California court on Monday and pleaded not guilty to killing his parents late last year.

Nick Reiner entered a not guilty plea in a Los Angeles County courtroom, months after Rob and Michelle Reiner, 78 and 70, were found fatally stabbed in their Brentwood home. The Los Angeles Times reported that the couple’s daughter discovered their bodies 12 hours after the slayings, and Nick Reiner was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said his office has not decided whether to pursue the death penalty against Nick Reiner, who is charged with murder with special circumstances.

Nick Reiner is being represented by a public defender. His previous lawyer, Alan Jackson, stepped down for disclosed reasons.

While Nick Reiner has a court date scheduled for late April, Hochman said it will be some time before a preliminary hearing due to the amount of information being reviewed in this case.

A motive has not been disclosed.
