Margot Sisson has been so busy since her time on Below Deck Down Under Season 2. Margot had joined the crew as a late addition, bringing two years of experience and a love of travel to M/Y Northern Sun. And she is still traveling today while pivoting her career to spend more time on land alongside her fiancé after getting engaged in 2025.
Margaret also took to Instagram on Dec. 31, where she revealed that she got engaged in 2025. She posted a Polaroid photo of her standing next to her fiancé, showing off her solitaire diamond engagement ring, set on a platinum band. Although she did not reveal the name of her fiancé, tag him in the photos, or share any other details about him, she noted in the caption of the post that this was her “favorite moment of 2025.”
Below Deck Down Under Season 2 chief stew, Aesha Scott, took to the comments of the post, where she shared her well-wishes for her former co-worker. “OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! What a lucky man to laugh with you for a lifetime,” she wrote.
What else is Margot Sisson doing after Below Deck Down Under Season 2?
Margot took to her Instagram account on Jan. 16, where she shared a brief look into her life as a full-blown foodie. The Seattle native posted a photo of herself standing on a sidewalk, all bundled up, while surrounded by snow. She further posted more photos from the holiday season, including a picture of her kissing the cheek of the special man in her life in front of a Christmas tree, as well as a photo of a very snowy road. In between all of this, she posted photos of a stack of pancakes, a festive cup of hot cocoa, cheese-covered pasta, a charcuterie spread, and two steaks covered in herbs and cloves of garlic. “It is cold,” she captioned the series of photos.
Details on Margot Sisson’s career after Below Deck Down Under Season 2
Margot has also furthered her career in the food space since her time on Below Deck Down Under Season 2. Although Captain Jason Chambers offered Margot a third stew position on a boat in Thailand at the end of the season, she turned it down and has since pivoted to cooking.
Margot is so active on her Instagram account, where she posts many videos of herself cooking so many different foods, and includes the recipe in the caption of her posts. Margot, according to her Instagram bio, is “trying to balance my sweet tooth.” But there is “a little humor here and there” peppered into the captions of her post.Â

Harry Van Vliet opens up about his friendship with Margot Sisson
During her time on Below Deck Down Under Season 2, Margot developed a very strong platonic relationship with deckhand Harry Van Vliet on the boat. However, they decided not to pursue a romantic connection, with Margot declaring that she wanted to be just friends with him.
Harry spoke with The Daily Dish in March 2025, where he admitted that they are still friendly, but not as close as they once were. “I don’t talk to her that much,” he said. “I’d definitely ring her, and she’d answer, you know. Definitely.”
