Teddi Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave are sharing an emotional update on their family amid their marital separation. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and her estranged husband share three kids together, in addition to Edwin’s teenage daughter from a previous relationship. And they are sharing an update on their youngest daughter, Dove Arroyave, as she celebrates her latest birthday.
Teddi took to Instagram on Feb. 24, where she revealed that Dove had officially turned six years old. Teddi posted a throwback photo of her and Dove from when the little girl got neurosurgery, weeks after her birth. She followed that up with a more recent photo of them together, with her wrapping her arms around Dove, dressed as a princess. “Happy birthday to my miracle baby,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
She continued, noting that Dove has already taught her so much in life as Teddi goes through her own battle with cancer. “The strength and resilience you have shown since you came in this world is something I have learned to use in my own fight,” she noted.
“And now, at 6, you’re teaching us all how to live life to the fullest while being your unabashed self. I am still so sorry I was in the hospital and missed your 5th party; but dang you don’t know how grateful I am to be at this one. Love you so much, Dovey Doo. Hope this year is your best yet,” she concluded.

Edwin also took to Instagram on Feb. 24, where he posted a video comprised of family photos with Dove that he had taken over the years. “Can’t believe it’s been six years since we were blessed with your birth,” he wrote in the caption of the post.
“We say you were a miracle. But I also think you were a gift from God,” he continued. “The joy, laughter, and personality you bring to every day has been a constant source of light for everyone around you. May this sixth year be your brightest yet. Happy birthday, Dove. I love you.”

Edwin Arroyave reveals how he’s supporting Teddi Mellencamp amid their separation
Edwin has also been there to support Teddi amid her battle with cancer and their simultaneous separation. Edwin appeared on his podcast, The Eds on Jan. 19, where he revealed that Teddi’s latest round of immunotherapy had been hard on her, but he was there to support her mental health during this rough time.
“It’s been inspiring to watch what a tough battle that she’s happened to go through,” he said during the episode. “And, you know, it sucks because you’re in a position where there’s not much you can do, right? Because there’s also what she’s feeling on the inside, which nobody really sees. It’s a lot. But the good news is, you know, I got to remind her all the time, ‘You got to focus on the positives.”
