Tom Sandoval is opening up about Schwartz & Sandy’s today after it closed its doors in Dec. 2024. The Vanderpump Rules alum and his BFF, Tom Schwartz, opened the Los Angeles lounge in November 2022 with the help of significant financial contributions from themselves and investors, including Tom Sandoval’s mom, Terri Green, while also balancing their roles at their other bar, TomTom.
Terri and Tom Sandoval’s stepdad had invested $250,000 into the business, and Tom Sandoval had been adamant about proving to his mom that the business could be successful so she could get her money back. However, Tom Sandoval appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, March 3, where he admitted that he has not yet paid his mom back for her full investment in the now-closed bar.
“I am in the process of working on that,” he explained. “Just so you know, like, as much as Schwartz and I were investors. They were actually investors. It’s the same thing with Lisa Vanderpump and TomTom. Like, it wasn’t a loan. It was an actual investment. They had a percentage in the company.”
“I mean, yeah, but it’s your mom, she lost her money,” host, Andy Cohen replied.
“I know, I’m working on it,” Tom Sandoval concluded.
Tom Schwartz shares an update on TomTom
Lisa opened TomTom in 2018, with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz owning a small percentage of the business. TomTom is still open in West Hollywood today, providing drinks and food to patrons, and hosting Tom Schwartz approved events and parties.
Tom Schwartz took to his Instagram Story in April 2025, where The Valley Season 3 cast member revealed that he still has fun at TomTom and enjoys “Saturday hangs” with his friends at the bar. He also took a photo with manager, Logan Cochran, who appeared to be so happy to be working at the establishment. “[TomTom] still popping tonight,” he wrote over the photo.
The official website for the bar notes that duo’s contribution to the establishment, “Sandoval and Schwartz have developed signature cocktails alongside renowned Mixologist for Republic National Distributing Company, Sly Cosmopolous. With a decadent plethora of hearty, healthy and elegant bar food, the menu is designed to be indulged in with friends and family and shared family style.”

During his time on WWHL on Tuesday, Tom Sandoval admitted that Schwartz & Sandy’s had a very hard time getting off the ground. He revealed that if the bar hadn’t already closed, it would have closed for good eventually. “It’s a tricky area to be in,” he said of the former Franklin Village location. “It’s not like West Hollywood that gets all the foot traffic. It just was very hard to get that place going, I think it would have closed eventually.”
Tom Schwartz had echoed this during The Valley Season 2 After Show, admitting that the location was their downfall. “I feel like we really never were fully accepted or embraced by the neighborhood, but I’m f—king proud of that place,” he said.
Tom Schwartz continued during that same episode of The Valley After Show, admitting that he’s changed so much since Schwartz & Sandy’s closed. “I think I was too soft before that bar,” he explained. “If anything, now I feel like I have so much more life experience. I have more grit. I feel like I have a newfound respect and appreciation for life. I just feel like I’m growing in so many ways. I don’t know if it shows through my actions, but I can feel it.”
