Rachel Zoe is sharing new details about her divorce and marriage to her ex-husband, Rodger Berman. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has been so open about her separation throughout Season 15, and is now she is reflecting more on their relationship, including why she decided to not use Rodger’s last name after they married.
Rachel appeared on the podcast, The Burnouts with Phoebe and Sophia on Feb. 26, where she opened up about keeping Zoe as her last name, professionally, throughout their 26 years of marriage. “I would never, ever take a man’s last name now. I wouldn’t,” she said during the episode.
Although Rachel never used his last name professionally, she was Rachel Berman with her family members and when handling things for their two sons, Skyler and Kaius Berman. “I mean, I didn’t really use it to be honest with you,” she continued. “I used it with our kids, and like, when we traveled and stuff like that. But in my professional life, from the age of 21, I was Rachel Zoe.”

Rachel had first met Rodger in Washington, D.C. when she was 19 years old, and she was 22. She admitted om the podcast that she had found her “forever person too early.” “I found my person too early. I knew it then, truthfully. I did. I used to say, like, I wish I could meet him at like 27, 28, and then be with him for four, five years, and then have kids,” she admitted. “I knew that I met him too early, but he was older than me. And [I was] so young, I mean, I was 19 years old.”

However, she went on to add, “I mean, I’m pretty sure my ex and I thought we were dying next to each other up until a couple of years ago,” she added.

Rachel appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Feb. 12, where she shared some major updates on her divorce. She admitted that the divorce will be finalized “soon” and that they were keeping things amicable for their two sons. “Ultimately, we want what’s best for the kids,” she said.
