FBI Investigates Suspect’s Possible Tattoo, Search Reaches Day 40 – Crime Online

As the search for missing Arizona mother Nancy Guthries reaches day 40, authorities continue to investigate forensic evidence and a possible tattoo.

FBI agents are determining whether a male suspect seen January 31 on Guthrie’s Nest camera has a tattoo on his right wrist, FOX News Digital reports.

The tattoo, according to NYC tattoo artist, Darren “The Dude” Rosa, who has 30 years in business, appears to be a black and grey design.

“Black and grey work is a very prevalent style, not only in the southwestern area…but let’s say the southwestern area, among gangs, Mexican people who might be in these gangs, or cartels, [who] like to get black and grey,” Rosa, an artist at Rising Dragon Tattoos, told “Crime Stories” host Nancy Grace.

“If we’re talking about a tattoo that was done in a penitentiary, these inmates don’t have access to colored ink.”

“This is a style that’s been embellishing gangs for years, and they’ve honed this style, this very subtle gradation of ink, to a fine art. And this is even considered a hallmark of those who have moved up in the echelons.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31 after family members dropped her off at her Catalina Foothills home after dinner.

They reported her missing the following day after she failed to show up for church.

The FBI subsequently released images and videos of a suspect, obtained from Guthrie’s camera.

Grace contended that the tattoo could be a part of a larger tattoo, such as a full sleeve.

Rosa agreed, adding that the suspect is likely “heavily tattooed.”

“So, I would say we’re looking for a heavily tattooed individual….and he probably has neck tattoos.”
