Kathy Hilton has officially entered the chat amid Amanda Frances’ drama with Dorit Kemsley on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During Season 15, Episode 13’s group dinner in Italy, the ladies debated whether or not Amanda was truly trying “trying to look out for” Dorit when she commented on her contentious divorce from Paul “PK” Kemsley. Eventually, Kathy weighed in with a blunt warning for newbie Amanda.
“You know what it is?” Kathy began. “I think when somebody doesn’t know someone, you gotta learn to read the room and know your place.”
A bit later, Amanda brought up how Dorit had previously called out her past experience with a cult, questioning why she had gone “back 357 blog posts to a blog I wrote 14 years ago.” Before Dorit could provide an explanation, Kathy chimed in once again.

“Well, if I was annoyed with somebody, I’d do a deep dive,” the Season 15 friend remarked in Dorit’s defense.

Following Kathy’s initial comment to Amanda, Dorit simply replied, “Amen,” while, later, some of her RHOBH castmates offered their takes to producers.

“If Kathy Hilton, who is a beautifully put-together woman, tells you to read the room and know your place, baby, you’re f–ked,” Erika Jayne, for one, opined in a confessional.
Jennifer Tilly, for her part, separately added, “In this moment, Kathy is voicing what everybody is thinking. But Kathy’s the one who says it, which is really surprising ’cause Kathy is usually the peacemaker. It shut everybody up. It was like, Kathy?! She must’ve really got under your skin.”
Why Amanda Frances and Dorit Kemsley clashed in Italy
Amanda’s would-be friendship with Dorit never recovered after the latter called her out for commenting on how she publicly talks about PK. What Dorit did not initially know was that her confrontation coincided with the anniversary of Amanda’s newborn son’s death. Even so, Amanda decided to give their potential friendship another chance in Italy and asked Dorit to talk one-on-one prior to the al fresco dinner Bozoma Saint John hosted at Villa Bibbiani.
With the meal about to be served, Dorit requested that they hold off until after dinner. However, the subject arose at the table nonetheless when Erika expressed her surprise that Sutton Stracke had volunteered to share a room with Amanda. As Erika saw it, the two did not have “the smoothest” interactions recently, referring to when Sutton called Amanda a “wimp” while criticizing her handling of the Dorit situation.
After Amanda maintained that she was not “talking bad about” Dorit, the heated debate reignited among the women at the dinner table.
“You don’t know me very well. You don’t know the situation,” Dorit told Amanda. “Having that judgment, I think if it was coming from a good place, then I would expect that you would sit down, have a one-on-one conversation. … However, it just felt like when I asked if you had said it, it felt a lot of putting it on Kyle [Richards].”
Following some more back and forth, Amanda countered that hers was an “informed opinion,” based on her experience as a therapist who “worked closely with a lot of children of divorced parents.” She also doubled down on her stance that Dorit speaking negatively about PK “could make her life hard” amid their battle in court.
Dorit remained unmoved, however. When Kyle asked what she might “need from Amanda” in order to move forward, Dorit shot back, “I don’t need anything.”
