Andy Cohen is sharing new details about his “really fun night” out in NYC with his BFF, John Mayer, and Southern Charm cast members, Shep Rose, Austen Kroll, and Craig Conover.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host took to his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, on Monday, March 9, where he opened up about his big night on the town with the “No Such Thing” singer and the Charleston residents. Andy had planned on taking the trio to the West Village member’s club, San Vicente West Village, on Thursday, before John decided to text him and get involved in the plans.
“Now, I think Austen’s a John Mayer fan. I know Shep is a [Grateful] Dead fan, whatever. Craig, I have no sense of his musical interests or anything, so John Mayer and I go first, and we sit down at the table,” he detailed during the episode. “In comes Craig first, and he sits down, and he’s like, ‘Oh my god. Austen’s gonna freak out when he comes and he sees you sitting here.’ Fine. So then Shep and Austen come, and I mean, they sit down, and immediately they are wild, the three of them together, and they start getting into it about something — and I go, ‘You guys.’ Like, [it’s] the dining room at San Vicente Bungalow? It’s low-key. It’s fancy. There’s a piano player.”
John eventually got invested in knowing more about the trio of men. “Now, John is now asking them questions about their show, which he’s never seen,” Andy continued. “John’s like, ‘Do you share a house together on the show?’ John’s trying to figure out what it is. Craig is like, ‘Well, they film it like a movie,’ and I’m like, ‘What? They film it like a movie.'”
“There’s a lot of misinformation coming around,” Andy added. “It was just so funny, and then he’s trying to figure it out, and John’s like, ‘Well, have you all ever dated the same girl on the show? Do you date girls on the show?’ And I’m like, ‘Much of this is about the horrible things that they do to girls and then how they’re gonna get better or improve or whatever.”

Andy continued, noting that his and John’s conversation with Shep, Craig, and Austen was “very funny.” And it was even funnier when Austen turned to John, “like an hour in, and he goes, ‘What do you think of us, John? What do you think of us?'” Andy recalled.
“And John goes, ‘I think that the three of you have the most chaotic energy I have almost ever been around.’ He said, ‘I do not understand your speech patterns. I do not understand,'” Andy continued. “He goes, ‘I’m not disinterested.’ But he’s like, ‘It is a level of chaos that I don’t.’ He said, ‘I don’t understand your rhythms.'”

Andy noted that it was nice to see Austen and Craig in good spirits together after the Southern Charm Season 11. He admitted that viewers will learn more about where they stand after watching the upcoming Southern Charm Season 11 reunion. “I will say, you really have to watch the reunion, but they are able to be around each other,” he said.
“But I would say it is a more than fraught relationship. More than fraught,” he added. “So that was a really fun night. I mean, really fun.”

Andy Cohen opens up about his friendship with John Mayer
Andy had previously opened up about his friendship with John during an October appearance on the podcast, Call Her Daddy, detailing what a night out looks like between them. “It is us going to dinner. We always sit on the same side of the booth. We sit next to each other always. That is our spot,” he said. “As the night goes on, find myself sinking into him because he’ll have his arm around me…And we love each other deeply. We actually do.”
Andy continued, addressing the “love” that exists in their friendship. “I’m not secretly in love with him. No, we love each other,” he added. “If I could find a gay guy that was him, it would be magic, but you know what? I am so grateful for the love that we have.”
