
FOLEY, Ala. (TCN) —Â A man is facing a domestic violence charge after his 13-year-old son intervened to stop him from allegedly strangling his mother.
On March 9, deputies from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home where 32-year-old Daniel Hernandez-Lopez had argued with his wife, then allegedly tried to strangle her, WTOC reports.
When he went outside, the couple’s 13-year-old son confronted him for allegedly attacking his mother. Hernandez-Lopez allegedly threw a bicycle at him, and the teen punched him several times in the face and possibly knocked him unconscious before authorities arrived, WTOC reports.Â
According to authorities, Hernandez-Lopez appeared to have been under the influence of narcotics when the argument began, WTOC reports.Â
People reports Hernandez-Lopez was arrested the following day. He was charged with domestic violence and booked into jail.Â
