Married to Medicine Season 12 ended with another successful Med Gala — but not without plenty of drama (and text messages) along the way.

During the season finale, the Married to Med cast — including Dr. Jackie Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, Toya Bush-Harris, Quad Webb, and Dr. Mimi Sanders, along with friends Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Angel Love Davis, and Brandi Milton — put their differences aside to raise money for a pair of scholarships benefitting underprivileged medical students.

“This is representative of what our group stands for,” Dr. Simone remarked in a confessional. “Instead of us wallowing in the weeds with disagreement, rise up and still support.”

Despite plenty of criticism toward chairwoman Toya amid all the planning, the women unanimously gave the third annual fundraiser rave reviews. While awarding a pair of $5,000 scholarships on stage, even Heavenly praised Toya’s “hard work” in pulling off such a “beautiful event,” before they all ended the night with a group hug.

“I thought we [were] gonna walk in here, like throwing hands, but actually, we threw hugs,” Dr. Contessa added. “I’m so proud to be in this wonderful sisterhood of boss-ass bitches.”

Even so, the ladies saved plenty of tea to spill at the upcoming Season 12 reunion. In the meantime, read on for exclusive details on what the Married to Medicine cast has been up to since filming wrapped.

Dr. Simone Whitmore’s life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

Though Dr. Simone kept it cordial with Heavenly at the Med Gala amid their ongoing drama, she made no secret that she had little interest in repairing their fractured friendship. As she put it in a confessional, “I have a renewed commitment for my friendship with those who are being a great friend to me. But somebody that has no loyalty, I ain’t f–kin’ with you.”

After filming wrapped, Simone provided The Daily Dish with an exclusive update on her family, including husband Cecil Whitmore and their two sons, Michael and Miles, following a season-long conflict regarding finances and what she perceived to be their lack of support. For starters, she and Michael, 22, reached “an agreement” on how he would finance his post-undergrad tuition.

“He’s going to law school in the fall of 2026,” the Atlanta-area OB-GYN shared. “And the agreement we have is that he will take loans for tuition, and I will support him, provided he cuts back on his fabulous, luxurious lifestyle. So, no more spending 60K on a credit card.”

Earlier on Season 12, Simone’s comments about divorcing Cecil sent shockwaves through the Bravoverse, but she further insisted that all is well in their relationship today: “My marriage is in a good place,” she added. “Cecil and I have been married years, and we know how to weather the storm.”

On the professional front, Dr. Simone took a major step toward retirement, noting that 2025 marked her last year of delivering babies, before she pivoted to “a GYN-office-only practice.” She concluded, “I am done with that portion of my career.”

Dr. Jackie Walters’ life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

During the Med Gala, Jackie gave Quad and then-boyfriend Kirk “King” King an “official apology” after husband Curtis Berry previously cited the Bible in theorizing that their fertility issues could be related to them having sex before marriage. Quad and King accepted the apology and agreed to move forward in their friendships.

In addition to her role as an Atlanta-area OB-GYN, Dr. Jackie has been looking to expand DUES, her new line of scrubs that was featured on the show.

“DUES is just getting started,” she previously teased. “Our goal is to grow it beyond scrubs into a full lifestyle brand that celebrates and supports professionals in every part of their journey. Because it’s not just about what you wear — it’s about how you show up, how you feel, and how you thrive.”

Dr. Contessa Metcalfe’s life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

After Dr. Contessa and her husband, Dr. Scott Metcalfe, showcased their new clinic’s renovation progress on Season 12, she also shared an exclusive career update.

“We are expanding our mobile business,” Contessa revealed. “I’m just super excited about what the future holds. I mean, I’m exhausted, ’cause it’s so much work, but I think people will love to see that.”

In regard to their personal lives, she also spilled her and Scott’s secrets to their successful 20-plus years of marriage.

“I don’t look for any happiness outside of myself,” Contessa explained, noting the “expectations” she used to put on her husband. “He’s 55 years old, he’s not gonna change. And so, either I have to change my mindset, or I have to just realize that he’s gonna be the same person that I married, which is exactly who he is. So, yeah, I have more realistic expectations.”

Toya Bush-Harris’ life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

Despite earlier plans for Toya’s husband, Dr. Eugene Harris, to rent an office in Contessa and Scott’s building, he finally found a new, more suitable space that doesn’t require him to travel far from their brand-new home anymore.

“My baby has a real office,” Toya announced during the Married to Med finale. “The great thing about this new office is that it is very close to our home. So, my baby is gonna be able to get to work within 20 minutes and get back home right after.”

Post-Med Gala, Eugene gave Toya her flowers — both literally and figuratively — telling her, “You did an amazing, amazing job keeping your composure, doing a great job, putting this great event together.”

As for where Toya and Eugene’s marriage stands today, she told The Daily Dish, “We’ve been doing so well as a couple. Just our communication has been on point, we’ve been more cognizant of how to lift each other up as opposed to tear each other down.”

Quad Webb’s life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

After underscoring how their difficult IVF journey had put a strain on their relationship, Quad made a cryptic comment about King in her final confessional of Season 12. When a producer asked what the future held for her and King, she replied, “Oh, I can’t say that,” before adding, “I ain’t got time to waste. It might not be King. It could be somebody else. You never know.”

Post-filming, Quad confirmed her breakup from King after two years of dating, in a Feb. 2 statement to TMZ.

“Kirk and I mutually decided to bring our relationship to a close in 2025,” Quad told the outlet. “While our time together encompassed many meaningful moments, that chapter of my life has now concluded. I wish him well. In 2026, I am focused on moving forward with clarity and purpose. Thank you for your support.”

On the professional front, Quad explained to The Daily Dish that, after signing on as Dr. Heavenly’s campaign manager amid her bid to become a Georgia state representative, she’s “very honored to be a part of” her team as she now runs for United States Congress, instead.

“When Heavenly calls on you, you kind of just answer,” Miss Quad remarked, before referencing Georgia’s upcoming Democratic primary election. “We are very excited about what’s gonna happen in May. I am a person who is a huge believer that it is her spot. She will be the next congresswoman of District 13.”

Dr. Mimi Sanders’ life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

Dr. Mimi and husband Steve Sanders ended Season 12 clashing with Toya and Eugene, after initially refusing to purchase tickets to the Med Gala due to Mimi’s exclusion from the planning. The Sanders relented and bought a pair of $150 tickets at the door, but still called out how Eugene and Toya treated them in attempting to block their entry to the event.

“Toya has something against me,” Mimi declared in a confessional. “I cannot put my finger on it. I can’t give any more of myself to this relationship.”

Earlier on Married to Med‘s March 15 episode, Mimi and Steve also revealed that they were excited to be building a new “dream home,” and were nearing the end of construction. The couple also shared that their son Stevie, who has Autism, had been “really improving” as they continued to navigate his emotional health journey.

Dr. Heavenly Kimes’ life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

Despite giving Toya a grade of A-plus for the Med Gala itself, Dr. Heavenly handed her a failing mark “for conduct,” venting that she “was a total ass the whole time.” Meanwhile, she seemed to have more hope for a reconciliation with Dr. Simone.

“You know, Simone be mad as hell forever,” Heavenly explained to a producer. “She loves to drag s–t out and hold a grudge for a long time. I don’t. I think that Simone should know that I’m not mad, and I’m hoping that we can keep moving forward.”

In an exclusive interview, Dr. Heavenly shared an update on where her cast friendships stand today: “I’ve gotten really close with Mimi and Angel and Contessa, actually. We are actually in a much better space than we were previously.”

The Atlanta-area dentist also opened up about what’s going on with her family, after revealing her estrangement from son Damon Kimes Jr. on the heels of finding out about his 2023 arrest on social media.

“That’s a very difficult thing to talk about,” she admitted. “But I’ll tell you one thing, it’s a testimony that my son is here. He’s alive. Things could have [gone] very [differently] for him based on what he did. So, I thank God every day that my son is alive and that he’s well.”

In regard to her co-parenting with her husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, the mom of three continued, “With my kids, me and my husband still have a constant struggle on how to parent. We have a unified front, but he’s softer on the kids, if you will, and I’m the mean guy.”

As mentioned, Dr. Heavenly recently qualified as a candidate to represent Georgia’s 13th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. Elsewhere in her interview, she cleared up Dr. Damon’s previous comments that he was initially “not interested” in her entering politics.

“As far as politics is concerned, my husband is 1,000% supportive,” Heavenly insisted. “He has actually been instrumental in me doing it all together, so he’s always been supportive. … We do have a very solid relationship, based on love. No matter how many issues we have, we have to go back to that love for our family.”

Angel Love Davis’ life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

Season 12 newcomer Angel introduced the group to her longtime friend turned love interest Dr. Bernard Ashby, but by the end of the Jamaica couples’ trip, she’d decided that they were better off having a platonic relationship. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen‘s March 1 episode, she offered an update on where they stand today.

“I don’t really know what’s going on with Bernard,” the registered nurse and single mother of two admitted. “I think he came in really high, like, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that.’ But then, I don’t know if it was the Toya thing that threw him off or what, but he just became silent. So, I need a man that has a plan to know where we’re going, because a man without a plan, he leads you nowhere. I want to go somewhere.”

Angel also shed new light on her friendship with Quad, following her split from King. “I talk to Quad every day. That’s my sister,” she revealed on WWHL. “She’s amazing. You know, I think, in general, it’s gotta be hard for any woman going through IVF to not have that full-on support. And everybody saw the season just like I did.”

Later, Angel named “Toya not respecting girl code” with Bernard as her “thorn” of the season, while her “rose” was having the opportunity to showcase her acting career, as well as her Life Angels uniform company.

Brandi Milton’s life after Season 12 of Married to Medicine

Brandi was one of the few women who were in Toya’s corner throughout the Med Gala drama, and, later, blasted their castmates on WWHL‘s March 8 episode.

“They were mad at Toya from the previous seasons, so they wanted to get back at her,” the Season 12 newbie claimed. “You know, Toya’s my girl, so I tried to have her back. But, no, they wanted to get back at her. And so, I think that’s how they did it. … They gave her a hard time.”

Today, Brandi, who is a nurse practitioner, is still busy running her Atlanta med spa, Conqr Aesthetics & Wellness. In a previous interview, she gushed about how her husband of 10 years, Chamar, helps her balance work, marriage, and raising four children: “He is my life partner and my business partner, and pretty much I couldn’t live without him.”

Now that Season 12 is officially a wrap, get a sneak peek at all the drama you can expect at the Married to Medicine reunion.
