Melissa Gorga is so proud of her oldest son, Gino Gorga, after he competed in a state-wide wrestling tournament. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom has so much love for all of three her children that she shares with her husband, Joe Gorga, and is celebrating her middle child’s most recent accomplishment.
Melissa took to her Instagram Story over the weekend, where she revealed that her 18-year-old son was competing at the New Jersey state wrestling championship. “Proud parent weekend this weekend,” she said in a video filmed from her car, while Joe drove them to Atlantic City. “Gino’s going to States! He’s wrestling all weekend. We’re driving now to Atlantic City, and we’re so proud of him. He’s really like the best kid. He’s so driven. Right, Joe? We’re happy he’s even there — and if he places, God bless.”
Once they arrived at the tournament, Melissa snapped a photo of Gino on the wrestling mat, before showing off his support system, comprised of his friends sitting in the stands. “So proud of my boy,” she wrote over one photo.

Melissa also took to her Instagram, where she posted a photo of her and Joe watching the tournament, as well as a photo of Gino in action. Although she didn’t reveal how he did in the tournament, she did admit that she was so happy that the high school senior’s hard work led him to this moment in his life.
“Watching our son wrestle here in the State championship fills me with more pride than I can put into words. Winning or losing doesn’t define this moment — the fact that he worked hard enough, sacrificed enough, and believed in himself enough to make it this far is what truly matters,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
“If you’re an employer reading a resumé one day and you see the word wrestler on it, pay attention,” she continued. “That person already knows how to work hard, overcome adversity, and never quit. You’ve already won in my eyes. We love you, Gino.”

In just a few short months, Gino will be graduating from high school. And, according to the sprinkle cookie entrepreneur, he has some exciting plans in the works. Melissa spoke with The Daily Dish at BravoCon 2025, where she teased what’s to come from her oldest son and the next chapter of his life.
“We’re thinking about it. We’re not sure yet. Gino is kind of an entrepreneur kind of guy,” Melissa said. “To be continued,” she added.
