Bozoma Explains Mask Comment About Amanda Frances: EXCLUSIVE

Bozoma Saint John only had to say Amanda Frances’ first name to spark major drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

As the group explored Florence, Italy, during Season 15, Episode 14, Kathy Hilton spotted a street vendor selling Venetian masks, which she dubbed “Pinocchios,” because of their beak-like features. While posing for group photos on a bridge over the Arno River, newbie Natalie Swanston Fuller suggested that they all buy a mask, before joking, “Who’s going to be Pinocchio?”

Bozoma Saint John replied, “Amanda” with a laugh, but when the subject arose again later, she insisted that she “did not say Amanda’s name in reference to a damn mask.”

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Boz explained her repeated denials, claiming, “It was not important enough for me to remember it later.”

Boz, meanwhile, questioned why Amanda had brought the issue to Natalie and Kyle Richards afterward, rather than address it with her directly.

“If she thinks she heard me say something, I want her to just come out and say that,” Boz elaborated. “Grow a pair of cojones and come tell me about it. Why do you need Natalie’s support?”

Elsewhere on the RHOBH After Show, Amanda offered her perspective on the mask-related drama.

“I think Boz is hoping the microphone’s not that strong,” Amanda theorized, before unpacking her reason for asking Natalie to confirm that she’d overheard Boz’s dig correctly.

“She just confirmed it for me, and at the time, I found it helpful, ’cause I was like, I think I heard that. I’m pretty sure,” Amanda added. “I told Kyle that I’m pretty sure this happened, pretty f–kin’ sure. So, I got to go from pretty sure to sure sure, because Natalie was standing right there. I realize, oh my god, she’s saying I’m fake.”

The Season 15 newcomer also shared her reaction to the so-called accusations about her: “That’s what they’re saying about me? That I’m fake? Women who have not at all tried to get to know me are complaining that they haven’t seen the authentic me?”

Separately, Kyle revealed, however, that Amanda initially was unsure if Boz had actually been “making fun of the way she looks,” or her nose specifically. She claimed that was the real reason why Amanda asked Natalie to weigh in on what she’d heard on the bridge.

Inside Bozoma Saint John and Amanda Frances’ heated confrontation on RHOBH

During some poolside pizza and beverages on RHOBH‘s March 19 episode, Amanda finally asked Boz a “clarifying question” about whether or not she saw a mask and remarked, “That’s Amanda,” to some of the other ladies.

“I don’t think I said that,” Boz responded, prompting Amanda to allege, “I think you said it, and I think you know you said it.”

When Kyle inserted herself into the conversation to add more details, Boz fired back, “If she remembers me saying something, I want to hear it from her — because I don’t remember saying that.”

After some back and forth, Amanda asked Boz point-blank, “Do you think I’m fake?”

Boz’s answer? “I think that you are not being clear about your life,” she said. “Your life is not pure. We have all seen it. … You’re presenting it as if it’s like this Stepford Wife type of situation, and it’s not.”

Amanda, for her part, insisted that she’d “created a life that is great,” while expressing her confusion over why the ladies found that so hard to believe.
