Miss Quad Webb shed new light on her and Kirk “King” King’s breakup during Married to Medicine Season 12’s “Reunion Part 1.”
Host Andy Cohen pointed out that Quad had recently confirmed that she King are “no longer together,” to which she replied, “Life happens.” When he further remarked that “there was a lot of hope there … on a lot of levels,” she added, “Very much so. And I thought he was the one.”
From there, Andy dove into what led to Quad and King’s split and if the decision to end their two-year relationship was mutual.

“You know, it was mutual,” Quad revealed. “We were not doing very well towards the end of last year. We tried, and unfortunately, we just could not align on some of the fundamentals and what it takes in having a longstanding relationship.”
Why Quad Webb’s ex-boyfriend King did not attend the Married to Medicine reunion
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host, meanwhile, asked if any of the ladies had been in touch with King. Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, for one, confirmed that she had talked to King, before asking Quad to confirm if it was true that she “didn’t want him” to attend the reunion.
“I didn’t say that, Contessa,” Quad insisted, before Toya Bush-Harris chimed in with more intel on King’s absence. As Toya explained, King, who runs a luxury car business, had recently helped her and Dr. Eugene Harris surprise their son Ashton with a Ferrari for his 16th birthday.

“Honestly, he said he wanted to be here,” Toya shared. “He said he felt like there was more of the story to tell. Y’all went from being so lovey-dovey — I mean, whispering, it was the cutest thing — to, whew, it was cringey to watch.”
Quad, for her part, responded, “When the relationship was good, it was good, right? And when it was not so good, it was over. And what I like to do is move forward in a positive manner. I don’t look back in the rearview mirror. And so, he is not present, and that is the end of that.”
How Quad Webb’s IVF journey impacted her relationship with King
Elsewhere on Married to Medicine‘s March 22 reunion episode, Quad blasted rumors that King was allegedly “faking the relationship for fame” and that she “needed a storyline,” in part, by citing the mental, emotional, and financial stresses of her IVF journey.
“To say it was a fake relationship, it was always real for me,” she declared. “I loved him with my entire heart.”
Dr. Simone Whitmore, meanwhile, questioned why Quad and King decided to “move forward with the IVF process,” when they could not seem to agree on whose house to live in or if they were going to get engaged and married.
“Because he’s a great co-parent,” Quad reasoned. “Even now, he doesn’t live in the same household with his daughter and her mom, and he’s an amazing co-parent.”
Andy also informed Quad that a lot of viewers seemed to think that she and King “were not on the same page” about starting a family, as the fertility journey went on.
“Well, I can only go by what we both agreed on,” Quad said. “We both decided — without a gun to his head, without me pushing him off the bridge, without me having a car saying I’m going to run you over — we both decided to go on this journey together to conceive a child. I never wanted to neglect anything that had anything to do with him, and I’ve always put my best foot forward and devoted myself.”
As for whether or not Quad plans to “move forward with trying to start a family solo,” as Andy put it, she shared only that she is going to “take it one day at a time” and encouraged viewers to “just stay tuned.”
