Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, is so close to graduating high school and heading off to college. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter, who was a toddler during Season 1, will be attending college in the fall, and Kyle has some major updates on this.
The RHOBH cast member took to Amazon Live on March 17, where she was asked if Portia had found any colleges that “she loves.” Kyle admitted that unfortunately, Portia has found too many colleges that she does love. “She has, but she is having a hard time making a decision,” Kyle said. “We’ve gone to quite a few, I’m going to take her to another one.”
But, Kyle doesn’t blame her youngest daughter for being so indecisive with her college choice. “It’s a big decision, she’s a really smart girl,” Kyle added. “So part of her is like, ‘I should go to these schools that’s impressive.’ But then she’s like, ‘That’s not really my vibe in that town or that city.'”
“So for me, I just want her to be happy,” Kyle concluded. “So we’re just trying to find the place she’ll be the happiest.”

Kyle, however, admitted that she will be the happiest if Portia decides to go to a school “closer” to her home in southern California. This is because all three of Kyle’s older daughters attended school further away.
“All of my daughters went so far away. I’d love a two hour flight to see her because it’s gonna be rough on all of us,” Kyle admitted.
Kyle also shared that Portia toured a school in Wisconsin, where it was “freezing.”
“I’m not sure Portia was a fan of that,” she noted.

Later on in the live stream, Kyle admitted that she doesn’t “feel good” about Portia ending up at a school far away from California, especially after they had a recent travel mishap. “Honestly, when we couldn’t get out, and the weather was bad, I was thinking ‘What if it was the holidays and I was waiting for my child to get home? Like, Thanksgiving or something?'” she asked.
“That stresses me,” she added.

Kyle appeared on an Amazon Live stream the prior month, where she reflected on how much her baby has grown over the years and why she’s so excited for her next chapter. “The funny thing is, she’s been on TV since she was 1 years old,” Kyle said during the February livestream. “We had her second birthday on Season 1. So, she went from diapers to college.”
“It’s just so weird to think that she will be leaving and going to college. But we won’t talk about that because it’s a happy day. I’m so happy for her,” she added.
