Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley’s feud reached an inflection point on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when it seemed clear that the real issue between them actually pre-dated their Season 15 drama.
As seen on Episode 15, Kyle and Erika Jayne staged an intervention of sorts to get to the bottom of Dorit’s recent “erratic” behavior, including her lateness, spending habits, and what they viewed as general detachment from the group. But on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Dorit underscored the moment when Kyle brought up how she had previously revealed their text message exchange at the Season 13 reunion. “That’s when it all clicked to me,” she said.
ICYMI: While kicking off the RHOBH special, which was filmed in early 2024, Dorit accused Kyle of sending her a “manipulative” pre-reunion text that she claimed was “basically trying to silence” her from candidly discussing their ongoing friendship rift at the taping. Kyle’s full message to Dorit was shown to viewers at the time.

Insisting on the RHOBH After Show that she’s “not one to hold a grudge,” Kyle admitted that Dorit’s decision to publicly disclose her private message “really changed something” for her.
“I’ve never had someone do something like that to me — ever,” Kyle explained. “To read a private text, I just couldn’t believe it. That showed me that… Wow, like, you’ll say and do anything. You don’t give a s–t.”

Elsewhere in the RHOBH After Show clip, Kyle and Dorit also broke down their friendship drama that reached a new boiling point during the cast trip to Italy. “I don’t feel supported by Kyle,” Dorit said. “It’s not OK for her to go around to everyone in the group saying that I’m acting erratic, rather than coming to me.” Â
Once Kyle eventually addressed the issue with her directly, Dorit opined that she seemed to be “deflecting to the group,” namely Bozoma Saint John and Rachel Zoe. However, from Dorit’s perspective, Kyle was the “common denominator” amid all the conflict.
“You are the one speaking to everybody,” Dorit elaborated. “Boz is not going around to everybody in the group. And, by the way, I will speak to Boz. I will have my own separate conversations with Boz and with Rachel that have nothing to do with you.”

Kyle, for her part, doubled down on her claim from RHOBH‘s March 26 episode that Dorit seems to have a double standard, when it comes to their friendship.
“The way she treats me is different from how she treats the other women. That’s the main issue,” Kyle shared. “She wants to find a fault in everything I say and do. Boz could say the same thing, and it would be met with completely different words and received, you know, in a positive way. … If someone wants to see the worst in you, they’re going to.”

Dorit further claimed that Kyle’s motives in Italy were less about trying to “resolve” their issues, but rather, were part of a larger plan to “punish” her for past hurts. That belief at least partly contributed to the fact that Dorit and Kyle were still not speaking to each other when the After Show was filmed in January, as the former confirmed to a producer.
“Kyle and I have a lot of stuff to work out,” Dorit added. “We have the reunion. And I think that that’s where a lot of these conversations are had.”
Either way, she couldn’t totally discount the fact that they previously had a “very close” friendship and also shared some “really, really, really wonderful moments” over the years — even if “that’s changed” now, as Dorit put it.
“I don’t actually believe we will ever be able to have that friendship, which is OK,” she continued. “I think Kyle has changed so much, that I don’t think she’s that same girl, so I don’t think we can ever have that same friendship. However, I do believe there’s a friendship to salvage. It’ll never happen until Kyle genuinely wants to move on.”
Kyle, for her part, concluded, “Well, I’m always a believer [in] if there was something there to begin with, that, you know, you can fix it. Of course, the longer this goes on … it makes it more difficult. But I do, I believe that maybe one day. I am hopeful. I care about her a lot still, no matter what.”
