Carole Radziwill is sharing new details about her return to The Real Housewives of New York City. Earlier this month, it was announced that Carole would be joining the cast of RHONY Season 16 as a friend to the Housewives, and now she is opening up about this in a new interview.
Carole spoke with The New York Times on March 26, where she revealed that she was a bit hesitant to return to the show after she had been a cast member on RHONY Season 5 through Season 10. But after she made amends with and had conversations with Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen, she was happy with her decision. “To go back to something that I was such a big part of, you know, is a bit of a risk for me,” she said. “Andy said I could film as much or as little as I want.”
Andy told the publication through email that Carole’s return to RHONYÂ made “a lot of people really happy, including me,” he said. “My pitch was essentially to join us in a way that should be light, fun, additive to the show. And hopefully, to her life,” he added.

Andy had previously spoken about Carole’s return to RHONY during a March 3 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live. “I would like to tell you that I’m so excited about the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City,” Andy told his co-host John Hill during the episode. “We have been working on this for a while.”
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host admitted that he and Carole had to get through their differences before they sat down to talk about her returning to the show. “I think I took her out to coffee in, was it December or January, and proposed that she be a friend,” Andy added. “She was very Radzi about it. She was very analytical.”
“It will be good,” Andy concluded.
