Two Mississippi teenagers were found shot to death on Monday on a rural road in Hinds County, Mississippi.
The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office said that sanitation workers found the bodies of Terry Burrell Jr. and Khloe Hudson, both 16, around noon. Both victims had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
The two teenagers had both been reported missing to the Jackson Police Department in the past 24 hours.
Tyree Jones, who is both the Jackson Police chief and sheriff of Hinds County, said that investigators believe Burrell and Hudson were shot where they were found, northwest of Jackson, but said investigators could not rule out another crime scene.
Jones did not identify any suspects or any potential motive for the double slaying. Although he was wearing his Jackson PD uniform at the time, Jones said the investigation would be led by the sheriff’s office with assistance from Jackson and Capitol police.
Anyone with information should contact the sheriff’s office at 601-352-1521 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).
