Summer House brought the receipts amid speculation that newbies Dara Levitan and Ben Waddell spent an hour together in the latter’s bedroom during an earlier Season 10 costume party.
Dara had already denied the rumors amid her budding romance with KJ Dillard, but in Episode 9, she finally had the opportunity to confront Bailey Taylor, who first made the claim to Lindsay Hubbard. Their conversation took place midweek during Lindsay’s housewarming party in New York City.
At the time, Bailey and bestie Levi Sebree had asked Dara for all the scoop on her “first real weekend” in the Hamptons, since they both were away at the time.
“Honestly, I wanted to talk to you just for a second, because the only upsetting thing that happened was, like, I had gotten there, the energy was just, like, a little bit weird,” Dara responded. “I, like, went to put my stuff up in KJ’s room or whatever. He was, like, a little bit distant, and I didn’t really know what to make of it.”

Bailey, meanwhile, questioned, “Where do I come into this?” prompting Dara to explain, “You had mentioned to Lindsay that when I was there that other weekend, that I was, like, alone in Ben’s room for, like, an hour.”
When Bailey asked, “Did you guys not go in Ben’s room?” Dara simply answered, “No.”
That’s when footage rolled, however, showing Ben lounging on the corner of his bed, asking someone off camera if they had texted him yet. Though she did not appear in the frame, Dara could be heard playfully replying, “You are trouble.”
Either way, Bailey quickly relented, telling Dara, “OK, I don’t know where you were. Then, I was wrong.”

By then, Dara had already smoothed things over with KJ, who initially questioned their romantic future after Lindsay brought the accusation to his attention.
When Dara’s ex West Wilson checked in with her during Summer House‘s March 31 episode to see if everyone had “been nice” so far, she told him, “Everyone’s been great. The only negative feedback I have at this point involves people who are not currently here. So, we’ll address that when they are.”

In a confessional, Dara added, “First priority: make sure KJ and I are good, make sure the guy I like knows that I’m not running around doing shady s–t behind his back. Priority No. 2: in the city, sit down and have a conversation with Bailey so that she understands you can’t just make up random facts that are actually not true at all.”Â
The next morning, Dara and KJ made breakfast together, which she saw as a sign of their viability as a potential couple — even if him not seasoning his eggs was a “dealbreaker” for her.
“Besides that, I haven’t seen any glaring red flags,” she quipped in a confessional. “And he’s super-hot and super-cool and super-fun. So, let it roll.”

Ben, for his part, was more focused on rekindling an old flame with a recent ex named Sabrina. As the Summer House Season 10 newcomer previously described to Ciara Miller, he was “caught off guard” when Sabrina professed her love for him but had since been seriously questioning his decision to walk away from the relationship.
In an Episode 9 confessional, Ben revealed to a producer that his agenda for the coming week was to “reach out to Sabrina,” and if their talk went well, to invite her to be his plus-one at Lindsay’s housewarming.
“If all goes to plan, I’m gonna be over the moon,” Ben continued. “But I’m well aware that I’ve got a lot of catching up to do and making up, because if I’m in her position, it’s like, ‘Mate, I just said that I love you and you just f–kin’ left and didn’t say anything.'”
He concluded, “Definitely hoping that it’s not too late, ’cause she’s a catch.”
