In an unexpected turn of events, The Valley‘s Luke Broderick revealed that “it’s possible” he could be the father of Lala Kent’s daughter Sosa.
Luke dropped the news while he and fiancée Kristen Doute were greeting Lala at their joint “sip n’ see” event, in the Season 3 premiere. After Lala shared a “funny” story about how her mom thought 1-year-old Sosa “kind of looks like Luke,” he admitted that he had previously “donated sperm to the same sperm bank that Lala used to conceive Sosa” while he was in college.
On The Valley After Show, Luke recalled spotting some glaring similarities back when Lala was sorting through potential donor profiles on Vanderpump Rules, including his age, body type, and education. “I’m like, huh, that sounds a lot like me,” Luke said.

Luke and Kristen welcomed their daughter, Kaia, in June 2025, but he couldn’t help but joke that she might not be his only child.
“At one point, Kristen didn’t love it, but I put my arm around Kristen and Lala for pictures. I go, ‘Oh, my baby mamas,'” Luke added.
As Kristen separately chimed in, “Luke loves to joke around about it all, and I’m like, you know what, who knows at this point? Wouldn’t that just be our luck?”

Lala, for her part, admitted that she was “kind of tripping” when Luke dropped the bombshell at Kristen and fellow new mom Nia Sanchez Booko’s event. She also conceded that several of the cast members’ kids “kind of resemble each other.”
However, Lala, who is also a mom to 5-year-old daughter Ocean, took the After Show as an opportunity to officially set the record straight: “He’s not Sosa’s father.”

After Brittany Cartwright remarked that Luke hypothetically being Sosa’s father “would be the craziest turn of events of all time,” Lala replied, “I can’t even talk about it. Could you imagine I fight so hard to, like, not have a baby daddy, and then Luke’s just, like, right in front of me? That’s like my worst nightmare.”
During The Valley‘s April 1 episode, Lala also told a producer, “I am shocked. I did not have on my Bingo card that he would say he’s been a sperm donor at the same cryobank I got Sosa from. Now Kristen is Sosa’s stepmom. Oh, f–k no.”

The playful banter between Lala, Kristen, and Luke illustrates just how far they’ve come in their friendship. Luke, for one, noted that he and Lala “got along the best we ever have this year after she apologized” for past comments she’d made about him.
“I adore Luke,” Lala added. “Like, he is just so sweet and fun and has been nothing but kind. Like, I feel so badly that I spoke to him and about him the way that I did. Sometimes I black out and I just say s–t and then I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m really sorry about that.’ … I can be pretty out of pocket.”
Kristen, meanwhile, explained that she and Lala “hadn’t spoken for about a year and a half” before they ultimately reconciled.
“She went out of her way to send me a very heartfelt, genuine apology,” Kristen elaborated. “A lot of people would like to say… ‘Well, it’s because she knew you guys were going to start filming. Of course she did.’ But I could let that stir around in my mind all day and second-guess myself, but she has done nothing but shown me, without the cameras being on, what a great friend she is to me.”
As Lala further weighed in, “Kristen and I have had ups and downs throughout the 10-plus years that we’ve known each other now. So, I was really hoping that we would come back together. And we have deep history with each other, so I was hopeful. …Â We’re in a great place.”
