Kyle Richards is sharing some major updates on her separation from Mauricio Umansky. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member had been married to her husband for 27 years before they confirmed their separation in October 2023. And now, she is revealing where they stand today as they navigate a divorce.
The mom of four appeared on the podcast, The Bossticks, on March 30, where she revealed that she and Mauricio are still separated, and not divorced. “Well, we’re not legally separated,” she explained during the episode. “But we don’t live together. We haven’t done any paperwork.”
“I mean, everyone does it their own way, everyone does it differently. It just depends,” she noted. “Then hopefully you can do it amicably and not hurt your children.”
Kyle continued, noting that she and Mauricio won’t be separated forever. “Every separation is different. Every divorce is different. Every relationship is different,” she explained. “And you know, this is just working for us so far.”
“And I say so far because obviously we’re not going to stay in this gray area,” she added.

Kyle also revealed that she and Mauricio are still close amid their separation. “Listen, I mean, you don’t love someone that long and have that kind of relationship with them and [then it] just disappears,” she noted. “Like, I mean, unless one of them is a complete a—hole and piece of s—t, then I guess that would disappear.”
“You know, we built this beautiful life together, this beautiful family. I have a lot of respect and a lot of love for him and vice versa,” she continued. “So there’s no reason to fight, and we haven’t had a third party pushing us to separate or file a complaint. So we’ve just been doing it on our own terms in our own time.”

During the episode, Kyle admitted that she’s asked “all the time” about getting back together with Mauricio. But it’s something that she can’t give a clear answer to. “We will not always stay in this gray area. And there have been more talks about that as of recently, I will say. But, you know, like, TBD,” she said.
