After an enjoyable crew night off turned into bickering between stew Alesia Harris and deck/stew Mike Durrant, chief stew Daisy Kelliher relayed the conflict to Captain Jason Chambers, and he didn’t mince words on the possible next steps.

“I get to a point, if you don’t get to where we’re trying to go, I’ll make changes,” Jason threatened during Below Deck Down Under Season 4, Episode 12.

Daisy explained what the captain missed during the April 20 episode. “F—king Mike and Alesia both came up to me like, ‘What are you going to do about this?’ I f—king went off,” Daisy shared with Jason. “I was like, ‘Do not come to me and make this my problem.’ I was really upset about it.”

Jason had no tolerance for the situation. “Don’t engage in it. We’re here to work. [If] you’re not able to do that, find another job,” he declared.

To producers, he continued, “Alesia and Mike are adults. They need to learn to work in these environments. This is part of working on yachts. If they cannot be mature enough to resolve small squabbles and conflicts, well, maybe they have to go.”

Daisy added, “It’s just toxic. It’s not fair to anyone else.”

Mike Durrant and Alesia Harris’ ongoing feud, explained

In case you need a refresher, Alesia and Mike have been butting heads for several charters, and one clash particularly fractured their relationship during Below Deck Down Under‘s March 9 episode. After Alesia accused Mike of doing more talking than working, she overheard him gossiping with the deck team about her semi-love triangle with Eddy Hounsell and Jenna Woudberg that involved flirty texts. Mike and Alesia’s loud argument forced Daisy and the second officer, João Franco, to sit Mike down.

“Here’s the thing: We enjoy your banter,” João told him. “You know that. There’s no doubt about it. The main reason we’re here is to work.”

“You’re not being fast enough, and you’re not being efficient. And the girls, they’re getting frustrated because they’re having to micromanage,” Daisy added.

João reminded Mike that firings weren’t off the table during charter season. “It’s all fun and games until it’s not anymore. You’ve gotta understand that you could, at any stage, if anyone’s not happy with you in particular, you will be fired,” he warned him.

Since then, the interior crewmates have continued to fight over things like taking responsibility for cleaning mishaps, such as the infamous panty liner. Another point of contention occurred during the March 23 episode, when Mike asked chef Ben Robinson to make him an omelette while on charter, and Alesia pulled Mike aside and told him “never” to ask that again—criticism Mike didn’t take kindly.

Why Daisy Kelliher issued a warning during a crew night out

Daisy attempted to put an end to the situation during the tip meeting in the April 20 episode. “I’ve been pretty upset this trip. I’ve been seeing a lot of selfishness from different people, whether that’s regarding they think they work harder than other people. I’ve seen people bickering at each other in front of crew,” she said. “It’s been actually relentless, and the crux of it has been quite a lot of selfish behavior. We’re a team, we all work as a team. It just can’t happen again.”

Despite her warning, Mike and Alesia immediately exchanged words, and Alesia told the others, “You’re going to have to keep me away from him tonight.”

Mike explained his side to producers: “I feel like Alesia’s just trying to prove herself in this position by pointing me out to say that I’m not doing a good job, to make herself look better,” he said.

Things escalated when Mike commented to the group, “There’s some people on board that’s definitely working harder than others.”

Alesia responded, “I feel like you should sit down because you’re definitely working the least out of everyone.”

As their argument continued, Daisy got involved and told them both they were being “mean.”

“I’m not trying to be dramatic, but he wants to f—king bite me, bite me, and the second I react, it’s ‘Alesia!’” Alesia told Daisy, to which the chief stew asked, “So, how do we move forward from this?”

When Alesia pointed the finger at Daisy to problem solve, she wasn’t happy.

“I am done with this. Alesia, I have had this from him, and I’ve had this from you. The two of you sort this s—t out together,” Daisy told her. “I am not doing this anymore. You have a problem with him. He has a problem with you. I am done with it.” As Daisy walked away, she added, “F—k this s—t. I am f—king done.”

She shared her frustration during her confessional interview. “It’s my job to run a superyacht. Nowhere on the job description is to mediate two squabbling children,” she told producers. “If they don’t rein it in, heads are going to roll.”

Still to come on Below Deck Down Under Season 4, don’t miss Captain Jason firing a crew member during the midseason trailer.
