Brittany Cartwright is opening up about her current co-parenting situation with her ex, Jax Taylor, amid their divorce. The Valley cast member and Jax are the parents to their five year old son, Cruz Cauchi, and are doing everything that they can for their little boy.

Brittany spoke with The Daily Dish earlier in April, where she admitted that she still has issues with co-parenting alongside Jax. “Co-parenting is an uphill battle,” she admitted. “We both put Cruz first. He is top priority. He doesn’t see any of the struggles that mama has to deal with at times. But it’s great some days and not so great some other days. So there’s a lot going on there.”
Brittany appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 15, where she reiterated the fact that she and Jax still have their differences when it comes to co-parenting. “Jax is Jaxin’. I mean, it’s not easy,” she explained. She further confirmed that Jax is sober. “Very happy for that,” she continued. “You know, that is a great achievement. It’s just some people are never gonna change.”

Although Brittany’s co-parenting relationship with Jax is up and down, their son could not be any happier. “He is so loved, and he is thriving,” she explained to The Daily Dish earlier this month. “He is so happy.”
“I’m so much happier, so he notices that and I feel like he’s in such a great place and he’s thriving, you know? I’m just really proud of that,” she added. “So proud of him.”

Brittany Cartwright shares new details about Cruz Cauchi’s 5th birthday party
Brittany also opened up about Cruz’s recent 5th birthday celebration, which paid tribute to her family’s farm in Kentucky. The Kentucky native took to Instagram on April 12, where she posted photos from the sweet celebration, which included a ball pit, bouncy house, and farm-themed activities.
“Cruz just turned five on this past Sunday, so April 12 was his birthday. I had a huge birthday party for him on Saturday, where a lot of my friends got to come and their kids. It was a farm theme. Brought Kentucky to LA,” she explained to The Daily Dish. “Cruz loves animals. He loves going to my farm back home and seeing the horses and the chickens, so I wanted to use that for his birthday this year. And I love hosting. And I go all out for his birthday every year, so it’s so much fun. He loved it.”
