Although it’s been nearly two and a half years since Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announced their separation, neither has filed for divorce, and Kyle faces a difficult question about the state of their marriage during the above preview of Part 2 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 Reunion (airing Thursday, April 30 at 8/7c on Bravo).
“Do you think you’re waiting for him?” Dorit Kemsley asks Kyle. “Waiting for him to come back?”
“No,” Kyle answers. “I think it’s still — I think it’s just not knowing what you want.”
She explains she enjoys their current dynamic, including during family vacations in places like Colorado: “I like the way it is, and that we can have dinner. You know, he goes to his room, I go to my room. [We] wake up and have coffee in the morning, talk about what we’re going to do. We go skiing.”
Host Andy Cohen then asks, “Do you feel like you wouldn’t still take family vacations like that?” and Kyle bluntly responds, “No,” before revealing her fear: “It would change. And it would be scary if it changed for me.”
Kyle Richards reveals her thoughts on The Agency if she and Mauricio Umansky divorce
Andy then asks Kyle a viewer question during the preview, inquiring, “Kyle, when or if you file for divorce, will you be asking for half of The Agency?”
In case you need a refresher, Mauricio decided to leave his brother-in-law Rick Hilton’s real estate brokerage firm, Hilton & Hyland, in 2011, to form his own boutique brokerage firm, The Agency.
As far as The Agency now, Kyle answers during the preview, “Well, it’s mine…half of it’s mine.” When her sister, Kathy Hilton, asks, “Does he realize that?” Kyle responds, “Well, we built our lives together. He literally had two nickels when we married.”
She later adds of her financial status with Mauricio before launching The Agency, “Obviously, there’s no prenup. We didn’t have anything. We were in a two bedroom apartment.”

Kyle recently opened up more about her and Mauricio’s decision to launch his own agency together during The Bossticks’ March 30 podcast episode. Kyle shared that she was the driver behind Mauricio initially getting his real estate license.
“So he came home one day…I think he does talk about this in his book. And he had been fired. He was in the clothing business, and he had lost his job. And I could tell he had been crying, and it just crushed me,” she said during the episode.
She described how they had their 6-month-old daughter Alexia Umansky at the time, as well as her older daughter, 7-year-old Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, and admitted, “We needed money to buy Christmas presents for the kids.”
“So I said, ‘Why don’t we go and hire a babysitter once a week, and we’ll get our real estate license together,’” she shared on the podcast. “And that’s what we did. We went to Santa Monica College and got our real estate license together.”
“It was the best thing that ever happened to him, being fired that day,” she later added.
Where does Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s marriage stand today?
Kyle revealed during her March 30 appearance on The Bossticks podcast that she and Mauricio are still “not legally separated.” She added, “But we don’t live together. We haven’t done any paperwork.”
Kyle noted during the podcast that she doesn’t intend to just stay separated from Mauricio indefinitely. “Every separation is different. Every divorce is different. Every relationship is different,” she explained. “And you know, this is just working for us so far.”
“And I say so far because obviously we’re not going to stay in this gray area,” she added.

Kyle admitted during RHOBH Season 15, Episode 7, that she had considered pulling the trigger and filing for divorce during a family trip to Colorado. “When I was in Aspen recently, I felt a little bit invisible. And then I’m like, ‘Okay. It’s time,’” she shared, and then explained why she didn’t follow through. “But then I come back, and I’m like, ‘It’s just easier like this.’ You know, we’re good friends, and I know that he loves me. We get along.”
