Brittany spoke with PEOPLE earlier this month, where she admitted that watching her relationship with Brandon on The Valley Season 3 is “strange.” “It is strange to see Brandon on [The Valley] because that was such a short fling type of thing,” she explained, noting that she is “so happy” that viewers got to see their relationship play out. “It is funny, but it is what it is. You live, and you learn. I was just having fun at the time, and we’re still friends.”
She continued, admitting that she learned so much from the relationship. “The way I handled [the breakup] was great, and I just feel like I’ve learned so much from my past relationships that it was easy to navigate and like, ‘OK, this isn’t what I need right now,'” she added.

Brittany is single amid her divorce from Jax Taylor and following her breakup with Brandon, telling the publication that she is “single as a Pringle.” “I’ve had time to heal and work on myself,” she said, noting that she is “loving it.” “I’m always going to keep working on myself. Brittany has been so busy raising her 5-year-old son, Cruz Cauchi, whom she shares with Jax. But that hasn’t stopped her from looking for love. She took to her podcast, When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright, on May 8, where she continued to share updates on her dating life now that she’s single.
“Trust me, I’m having a blast,” she explained during the episode. “I’m still single, but you know, Cruz is the most important thing in my life. We have a lot of stuff that we’re working on. I had a lot of healing to do from my horrible situation that I was in and still am, but I am dating and having fun. I had a boyfriend on The Valley for a couple of months… but I knew him from way back whenever I lived in Kentucky. So we had been friends. So whenever we reconnected, we were hot and heavy.”

The Kentucky native also gave more insight into her former relationship with Brandon during a May 1 episode of her podcast. Brittany revealed that she is not together with Brandon anymore and has firmly closed that chapter in her life. But, she teased that viewers will get to see more of their relationship on The Valley Season 3.Â
“I’ve said this a million times, and I’ll say it again. You’ll see soon what’s going on,” she said. “But remember, you’re not watching a live show when you watch The Valley. It was eight or nine months ago. Lots of change since then.”
