Gael Cameron is sharing some major updates on her and Nathan Gallagher’s son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher. Gael and the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 bosun welcomed their little boy into the world in June 2025, and he has grown so much since then.
Gael took to her Instagram Story earlier this month, where she revealed that her baby son is now so independent that he has learned to unscrew caps and turn on machines all on his own. Gael first posted a series of four photos of her little boy as he looked so happy to be sitting in front of a bubble machine, surrounded by so many bubbles. “Little man worked out how to get the bubble machine going on his own today,” she wrote over the sweet photos.
She also took to her Instagram Story, where she revealed that “nothing is safe” around her son, who is almost one year old, especially after he discovered he could unscrew his diaper rash cream container and eat it. “One day I woke up to him eating my screw-top bumcream,” she wrote over another series of photos. “5 minutes ago, he didn’t know how to get that cap off. Nothing is safe.”

Gael opened up about how much Kayden has grown in another post on Instagram on May 2. The Australian native posted a video of Kayden as she held him in her arms while he held her face in his hands and laughed at her. She then took to the caption of the post where she admitted that she wants her son to stay little forever, but she has been so happy to watch him grow.
“How do we explain this feeling? Watching them grow and learn every day is so bittersweet,” she wrote. “Every time they achieve something new, the excitement and pride we feel is overwhelming, but when we look back to months ago…there are just moments I wish we could bottle and keep forever. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.”
Although Gael loves motherhood, she admitted that she is just a little sleepy. The mom of one took to Instagram on May 7, where she posted a video of her lip-synching to a sound admitting she is “very tired, all the time.” “One for the chronically tired but functioning parents,” she captioned the hilarious video.
Then, days later on Mother’s Day on May 10, she shared more insight into her life as a mom. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the superwomen out there. Know you are loved and appreciated,” she wrote.

How Nathan Gallagher’s family will play a part in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11
Gael isn’t the only person in the family who is losing sleep. During Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11, Nathan will be learning how to juggle his demanding job with his personal life. According to an announcement for the new season, as a first-time father, Nathan “must strike a balance between work and home life as his partner, Gael, and baby Kayden live nearby so he can be with them on nights off after long charters while training new deckhands.”
