Kyle Cooke Asks Amanda Batula About West Wilson “Affair”

Kyle Cooke had some serious questions about the timeline of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s relationship in the first look at the In The City series premiere.

How to Watch

In The City premieres Tuesday, May 19 at 9/8c on Bravo. Episodes stream next day on Peacock.

The May 19 episode kicked off with Kyle and Amanda saying a tearful goodbye and heading back to New York City from the Hamptons separately, following the events of the Summer House Season 10 finale. Though they both acknowledged that their marriage was on the rocks at the time, the couple hadn’t given up on their relationship quite yet. Fast-forward to April 9, 2026, however, and a broken-up Kyle and Amanda sat down to discuss the fallout from her newly announced romance with West.

While taking the opportunity to “clear things up,” Kyle said, “I’m gonna be honest, I can pinpoint these instances during the summer and fall where I’m like, damn, she wasn’t just one foot out, she was fully out the door. Like, that’s how it looked.” Amanda, meanwhile, admitted, “I was done, to an extent. I was tired. I had nothing left in me to fight, but I was still trying to give it everything I had.”

When Kyle began to ask, “Can you honestly say, though, that right through Thanksgiving, for that matter, even if it was an emotional affair with West…” Amanda cut him off, however, to insist, “Nothing was happening!”

“But I hear things,” Kyle replied, prompting Amanda to continue, “I was so committed to you throughout the whole f–king thing, and all I wanted was to make it work. And for you to even question my, like, faithfulness in any capacity just, like, really f–king hurts because that’s not the type of person that I am! Like, I would step out on you or cheat…”

That’s when Amanda pointed out that she’d “been cheated on by” Kyle, though he countered that he only “had a one-night stand.” Still, she further alleged, “Kyle, you made out with someone when we were married.” When he questioned the source of her intel, however, Amanda claimed, “There’s a video,” before adding, “My point is I would never do that to someone else.”

Where Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula stand today

Regardless of the fact that Amanda and West are now officially dating, Kyle made clear from the start of their conversation that he still had love for his estranged wife. When she arrived in his apartment, which they once shared as a married couple, for example, Kyle was quick to express that he was “worried” about Amanda and took a moment to make sure that she’d been taking care of herself.

Later, after Amanda denied ever cheating on Kyle, he tearfully remarked, “I know you’re not a bad person. I think you were reckless and thoughtless, if I’m being honest. But in all of this, I am still trying to be a good friend to you. And I worry about you. I worry about your mental health.”

A similarly teary-eyed Amanda, for her part, told him, “I mean, it’s not your responsibility, but I appreciate that.”

Kyle then clarified, “Just know that, like, everything that happens here forward is because I care about you. It’s not because I’m like, oh, maybe we rekindle things. It’s because I care.”

“I know, and I care about you in the same f–king way,” Amanda replied. “We love each other because there’s a version of each of us that we both fell in love with for a f–king reason.”

In concluding that specific conversation, Kyle declared, “It just makes me so f–king upset… that someone else gets, like, the version that I fell in love with.”

How Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula ended Summer House Season 10

At the end of the Summer House finale, Amanda informed Kyle that once they got back to the city, she planned to spend a couple of days away from him in a hotel. She insisted her intent was to continue working on their marriage, however.

As they loaded their belongings into their vehicles at the beginning of In The City, Kyle reflected, “I was in my twenties when I first came out to the Hamptons. Now I’m 43. Back then, I didn’t think this would be what my life would look like all these years later. I might actually lose Amanda and everything that matters to me. This is a glimpse into what my future could look like, and it’s lonely. Is this what I want? … I don’t know.”

Separately, Amanda commented, “I can’t imagine my life without Kyle in it, but no matter how badly I want to fix this relationship, I’m just not sure that I can. Something has to change, and I’m hoping that, by me taking some time to myself and not going home with him, he’ll realize, like, how serious I am about this.”

From there, however, several slight time jumps revealed news coverage of Kyle and Amanda announcing their split in January 2026. What followed were various clips, including from Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, addressing speculation about Amanda and West dating.

By the time Amanda met with Kyle in April 2026, she maintained, “I gave our relationship everything I had because I wanted the relationship to work so badly. And, like, the idea of, like, not existing with you in my life was so impossible for me to wrap my head around, and it’s what made it so hard to, like, call it quits. Which is why it got so f–king messy because I was so afraid that once we ended things, like, we would just be out of each other’s lives forever, and, like, I couldn’t handle that.”
