Aesha Scott and Gael Cameron’s friendship is still so strong. The women first met as crew members on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 and have continued growing together in their lives.
Aesha took to her Instagram Story earlier this week, where she wished Gael a happy birthday. The Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 chief stew posted two different photos of herself and Gael hanging out together in front of the ocean. In one picture, Gael can be seen holding onto a bottle, sticking out her tongue for the camera while Aesha basked in the sun. In another, Aesha and Gael can be seen wearing white, smiling so widely for the camera. “Most importantly, Happy Happy Birthday to my Queen,” she wrote.
Gael then took to her own Instagram Story, where she re-posted the photos and left her own message in return to Aesha. “Awwww love you my girl,” she wrote, along with a red heart emoji.
Gael Cameron reflects on her birthday and life today after turning 30 years old
Timed to her birthday, Gael took to Instagram on May 15, where she opened up about how it felt to turn 30 years old. “If you asked 20 year old me where I’d be at 30, I definitely wouldn’t have said here,” she admitted. “It hasn’t been an easy journey, but I’m proud of the things I’ve overcome and continue to learn from my mistakes. My mother always taught me that no matter what I do in life, to always lead with kindness.”
She continued, noting that her life has changed so much since she welcomed her son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher, into the world with Below Deck Mediterranean bosun Nathan Gallagher, last June. “I’m endlessly grateful to the people who have stood by me through every chapter, and for all the experiences, lessons, and opportunities life has given me. And now, getting to step into this next decade with my little boy, my best friend, feels like the greatest gift of all.”

Aesha had previously expressed her love for Gael and Nathan during an October sit-down with Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea. She marveled over the fact that Gael and Nathan are both parents. “A whole baby! That’s what I love about life,” she noted. “Life can just change in an instant. You don’t know where you’re going to be in a year’s time.”

Viewers will get to see more of Gael’s life as a mom and her relationship with Nathan when Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 premieres on Bravo on June 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. According to an announcement for the new season, Aesha is returning as chief stew with Nathan returning as bosun. But, Nathan “must strike a balance between work and home life as his partner, Gael Cameron, and baby Kayden live nearby so he can be with them on nights off after long charters while training new deckhands.”
Although Gael once worked in the crew on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 and briefly stepped in as a deckhand on Season 10, she is fully embracing her role as a mom by not working on the yacht and staying home with Kayden. In the trailer, Gael can be seen greeting Nathan on the dock of the yacht before he snuggles with Kayden. The little boy can also be seen taking over his dad’s confessional in the most adorable way.
