As Porsha Williams continued to date both Patrice “Sway” McKinney and Michael Anthony, aka Mike Bless, on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17, the pressure was on more than ever to choose between her two love interests.

Porsha discussed with her sister, Lauren Williams, during RHOA Episode 8 how Mike had recently sent a mariachi band to her home when he couldn’t get a hold of her for several days (and that ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley “popped up” in the middle of the unexpected mini “concert”). She also explained that Sway had been asking her if she was still also dating someone else. That’s when Porsha began to unpack some pros and cons in her dueling romances (more on that below).
Eventually, Lauren put her on the spot, asking, “Who are you choosing?” Before she could answer the question, Porsha was quite literally saved by the bell when an animal handler showed up at her front door with some reptiles for her daughter, Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, to pet.

In a confessional, a RHOA producer wasn’t so quick to let Porsha off the hook, however.Â
“If I had to choose between Sway and Mike at this very moment… I don’t have to choose,” Porsha revealed with a mischievous chuckle. “That’s the good thing about it.”

As Porsha had already explained to Lauren, she was up front with Sway about the fact that she was not the only person she was dating at the time.
“I’m trying to slow it down, you know,” Porsha said. “It’s uncomfortable because I like to lock in. Like, when [Mike and I] had taco Tuesday, I was like, this is my boyfriend. But [Sway] and I went to another level, deeper conversation, not so surface; him and I have to do the same thing. But I’m a little scared because if I tell that man that I don’t want a baby, he said it’s a dealbreaker. He said it’s over.”

In a confessional, Porsha added, “When it comes to Mike, I think that he’s a great guy. However, his dealbreaker is wanting to have a baby. I just can’t say 100 percent yes.”
Lauren, meanwhile, pointed out that Sway also wants to have a child. But Porsha told her that, unlike Mike, Sway actually had the ability to carry a baby herself. The sisters even joked about Lauren donating her eggs.
“With Sway, it’s just different,” Porsha added in a later confessional. “She brings out a different side of me. Like, if kids were to happen, I don’t have to be the one to carry.”

Later in RHOA‘s May 24 episode, Porsha and Sway had a date night at the same speakeasy where, as the latter pointed out, they’d met in person for the first time roughly a decade ago. Sway went on to recount how, after they exchanged numbers, Porsha “vanished.”
Porsha, for her part, clarified to a producer that, by her count, it was closer to eight or nine years ago when she met up with Sway there. “Dennis had messed up at that moment, and I was like, YOLO!” she elaborated. “But then I went ghost because I just wasn’t sure if I was ready to explore dating a woman at that moment.”
That point arose again when Sway suggested they play a drinking game that involved asking each other three questions. A failure to answer within three seconds would result in that person taking a shot. Sway began, “Can you honestly see yourself being in a relationship with a woman, like a rest-of-your-life-type situation, honestly, or is it more like a…”
Porsha interjected, joking, “Did you just propose?” before answering more earnestly. “Am I exploring? Yes. But I’m also exploring with this other person, and they are a man. But does the exploration mean that I’m playing? No. ‘Cause I don’t take you as a joke.”
She continued, “I know that you are fully capable of being in a relationship. I know that you could take care of me. I would not be out here like, well, let me just see if she can turn me on. So, like, if I were to look down the road, could I see what all this could look like? I’m open. But you want, like, you know, in the next three to five years, like family…”
As Sway chimed in, “Three to five? … Ideally, if I could, like, lock down within like a year, I would like that. Those are my goals. I would love to have a child, actually carry a child. I would love to be settled in a relationship.” She went on to ask, “What would you consider us?”Â
Porsha answered, “Um, I would consider us dating, and spending time, and having fun,” prior to opening up more about Sway in a producer interview.
“I think it’s just the Sway of it all. Her confidence and attraction that I have to her is pretty much unlike any other attraction,” she concluded. “When you get this age, you didn’t give that many f–ks about what nobody thinks. If we work out, I’m gonna love you out loud, and it is what it is.”
