Even as upset as Kyle Cooke was with Amanda Batula, heading into the Summer House Season 10 reunion, he did not hesitate to gently defend her to Ciara Miller.
The unexpected moment occurred in the final moments of Summer House‘s Reunion Part 1 amid a discussion about how West Wilson handled his rekindled connection with Ciara after Season 10 wrapped filming last year. While Lindsay Hubbard predicted that West would “drop” Amanda as soon as their relationship “is not working out” anymore, Ciara, on the other hand, chimed in highlight one key reason why they might actually go the distance.
“I honestly think that the best, like, woman for West is, like, someone who’s not gonna check him on anything, and that’s totally Amanda,” Ciara explained. “She’s very mute. She’s gonna be that weak figure that he needs, and he can always be the star in the relationship. So, I actually think, like, maybe it could work.”

That’s when Kyle whispered to Ciara, “That was a little harsh.”
Ciara, meanwhile, retorted, “That’s your wife; she’s not my wife,” to which Kyle quietly replied, “You have every right to feel the way you feel, but even that was hard for me to hear.”
Across the reunion stage, an emotional Amanda was shown dabbing her eyes immediately before a “To Be Continued” graphic appeared on screen.

Yes. Amanda revealed at the Summer House reunion that she had “attained counsel,” but neither she nor Kyle had filed for divorce yet. They previously announced their split after four years of marriage in January 2026.

Before things started to get heated out on the reunion set, Kyle and Ciara had shared an emotional moment together backstage. First, Kyle playfully called out the fact that he’d sent Ciara a text message and saw that she was typing, but then she never responded. She explained, “‘Cause I finished the last episode, and… It was a lot.”
As viewers might recall, exes West and Ciara repaired their friendship during Season 10, and on the last night of filming, they even kissed multiple times. Though West had previously told some of his castmates on camera that he was reluctant to pursue anything serious with her at the time, he’d been less forthcoming with Ciara. Adding insult to injury, of course, was the fact that West went on to start dating her close friend Amanda, who professed her love for Ciara before they departed the Hamptons.

Kyle, meanwhile, agreed with Ciara, describing his experience watching the final two episode of Season 10 as “the toughest reunion prep I’ve ever gone through.” He added, “I don’t think people understood I was like, yo, I am, like, bottoming out.”
Then, Ciara asked Kyle, “Can I say sorry? ‘Cause I don’t even think I realized how much you were bottoming out.” As the two hugged it out, Ciara became emotional, and Kyle comforted her saying, “Again, I just felt misunderstood the whole summer. Don’t cry.”
Ciara tearfully replied, “No, I know. And I’m sorry ’cause I feel like I really misunderstood you this summer,” prompting Kyle to add, “It’s OK. We got all day. I love you. We’re gonna do great.”
With that said, and following a second hug, Ciara went first in laying out her reunion intentions for both of them. “We’re not gonna get mad, we’re not gonna storm off,” she insisted. After Kyle tacked on, “No storming [off]; I’m not gonna touch alcohol,” Ciara continued, “I’m not gonna cry.”
Given that she was already in tears, however, they both seemed to realize that that specific goal might be the most challenging to accomplish.
