Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Gael Cameron is reflecting on the past decade of her life after turning 30 years old. In the past year, Gael has traveled the world and welcomed a son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher, with Below Deck Med Season 11 bosun Nathan Gallagher. But, she’s ready for all that’s to come from this next decade as she celebrates her recent birthday.
Gael took to Instagram on May 14, where she posted a video of her walking along the beach before blowing out a candle that spells out 30. “Another decade done and dusted. If you asked 20 year old me where I’d be at 30, I definitely wouldn’t have said here,” she admitted. “It hasn’t been an easy journey, but I’m proud of the things I’ve overcome and continue to learn from my mistakes. My mother always taught me that no matter what I do in life, to always lead with kindness.”
She continued, opening up about entering this new decade as a mom. “I’m endlessly grateful for all the people who have stood by me through every chapter, and for all the experiences, lessons, and opportunities life has given me,” she noted. “And now, getting to step into this next decade with my little boy, my best friend, feels like the greatest gift of all. Here’s to the next 30 years.”
“More learning, more growth, more adventure, and seeing as much of the world as we can,” she concluded.
In a separate post, she shed more light on this era in her life: “That time of year! Only this time I’m older wiser and not falling for the same tricks anymore. Cheers to another year around the sun.”
Gael Cameron gives a look inside her 30th birthday party celebration
After reflecting on turning another year older, Gael celebrated this with her girlfriends. The mom of one took to her Instagram Story earlier this month, where she posted several photos of her black-and-white themed birthday celebration. In the photos, Gael can be seen holding her heart-shaped birthday cake, laughing with her friends while wearing all black, and looking down at the cake in front of her.
She also took to her Instagram feed on May 17, where she reflected on her chic birthday celebration with her friends. “Don’t know how I got so lucky to have the most beautiful souls as my nearest and dearest,” she wrote. “Saying goodbye to my 20s surrounded by the girls who stood by me through every high and low made this chapter feel even more special. Couldn’t have imagined a more memorable way to end the decade.”

Aesha Scott gives a look inside her friendship with Gael Cameron today
Below Deck Med Season 11 chief stew Aesha Scott celebrated Gael’s birthday and gave a look into their friendship. She took to her Instagram Story last week, where she posted two different photos of her and Gael while they relaxed in front of the water and wrote her the sweetest birthday message. “Most importantly, Happy Happy Birthday to my Queen,” she wrote over the photo.
Gael took to her own Instagram Story where she reposted the photo, along with her own message for Aesha. “Awww love you my girl,” she wrote in reply.
