Arizona mom allegedly fired gun at husband, woman at bar before killing children and herself in apparent murder-suicide

PHOENIX (TCN) — A 38-year-old woman and her two children, ages 10 years and 18 months, were found dead in their home in an apparent murder-suicide, according to police.

According to a media advisory issued by the Phoenix Police Department, police responded to a home on May 25 at about 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the bodies of 38-year-old Andrea Davis and her children, 10-year-old Austin and 18-month-old Andolan, dead from gunshot wounds. The names of the children were not released by police but were later published on a GoFundMe page set up to support their father.

Police pronounced all three dead at the scene. Investigators believe Davis shot her children before turning the gun on herself. A handgun was found inside when authorities executed a search warrant, per police. The investigators connected the deaths to a shooting that had occurred earlier that night.

Shortly after midnight on May 25, police responded to a sports bar when Nolan Davis, 39, called 911 to say that his wife had fired multiple shots at him and another woman in a parking lot, WVLT reports. The woman with Nolan Davis has not been identified by police but was injured in the shooting. She was treated at a hospital and is expected to survive. According to Glendale Police spokesman Jose Santiago, Nolan and the woman knew each other.

Shortly after the shooting, Nolan Davis reportedly received two texts from Andrea Davis in which she stated she was going to hurt their children, followed by an image of them bleeding from their heads, according to WVLT. Police responded to Andrea Davis’ home at 2:30 a.m. Santiago said officers forced their way in because they knew it was “a dire situation.”

According to Andrea Davis’ friend Amy Bowers, the Davises were married for 12 years, WVLT reports. She said that in the last year, Nolan Davis had had an inappropriate relationship with a colleague that made Andrea Davis “completely lose her mind.”

According to police, there was no history of domestic violence in the family.

In a statement on the GoFundMe page, Nolan Davis’ cousin Felicia Queen wrote of the children, “Austin was a spunky, wild spirit who loved his dad deeply, and Andolan was the sweetest baby with the prettiest eyes. They absolutely did not deserve their lives to be taken, and our family is struggling to comprehend how this could happen.”
