Are Daisy Kelliher & João Franco Still Dating After BDDU Season 4?

“Nothing happened between us,” Daisy shared via email of their dating life after the cameras went down, and added, “We’re fine—[we] don’t really stand anywhere.”

It comes after both Daisy and João had expressed hope during the June 1 finale that they could continue their boatmance on dry land.

“I’m not used to dating guys that are so nice to me,” Daisy confessed to producers. “And now that I’ve finished the season, it feels like I can invest more energy into him.” As far as their future, Daisy added, “I’m willing to see if the chemistry keeps building. But the next phase is going for dinner. Baby steps.”

João shared the same sentiment towards Daisy in the episode. “I’ve only known Daisy for a short time, but I feel very privileged to have her trust me with her emotions,” he shared with producers. “Can I see something more than casual? The quick answer is yes. I wanna see where this goes.”

Despite the fact that their relationship didn’t survive off Katina, Daisy had nothing but positive things to say about João during her November 2025 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“We have a great relationship,” she said at the time. “I loved our season. And we worked well as a team.”

Daisy Kelliher and João Franco reflect on their Below Deck Down Under romance

Daisy is no stranger to boatmances, after past dalliances with Below Deck Sailing Yacht deckhand Keith Allen and chief engineer Colin MacRae. She revealed that they, along with João, helped her get through the strenuous charter seasons.

“Genuinely, it is a nice reprieve from all of the other chaos,” Daisy admitted on the Below Deck Down Under After Show. “And it’s the same every year. Like, Keith was that for me. Colin was that for me. So to be able to have someone that I can—for lack of a better word—be softer with and not have to be my hard ass? It was nice.”

But, Daisy also explained that the failed boatmances caused her to put walls up with João. “I do wear, like, a very big armor. I don’t like to show people vulnerability. I don’t like to show softness, even though I’m actually a very soft person…I think over the years I have built up this massive defense,” she admitted.

As their boatmance accelerated, João shared he had a deep admiration for Daisy, which played into taking it slow. “I feel like it could have been, you know, a fling. And with her, it would be more of a respectful thing,” he said during the After Show.

He admitted he developed real feelings for Daisy. “There is an emotional component to cuddling Daisy…it’s a comfort,” he shared. He continued, “When I look back now, I realize there was more of the chemistry than I thought there was.”

Daisy and galley assistant Elena “Ellie” Dubaich hit a rough patch in their relationship during the course of Below Deck Down Under Season 4, partly due to Ellie’s attraction to João, and Daisy’s relationship with João. Daisy shared not much has changed since leaving the yacht.

“I haven’t spoken to Ellie,” Daisy shared exclusively with BravoTV.com of where they stand after filming ended. “There’s no bad or good terms.”

Although Daisy and chef Ben Robinson frequently butted heads in the galley, she said she has no ill will towards him. “Ben and I are fine,” she explained. “I never had an issue with Ben.”

Daisy revealed since filming concluded she’s been in contact with deck/stew Mike Durrant, who was fired during the course of the season for causing drama amongst the interior crew.  “He got in touch with me to apologize to me,” Daisy told BravoTV.com. She also shared that she still talks to stew Jenna Woudberg frequently.
