Kentucky couple arrested after cops allegedly found drugs in bag labeled ‘deffntely not a bag full full of drugs’

LONDON, Ky. (TCN) — A couple was arrested after police say they found drugs in a bag in their car labeled “deffntely not a bag full full of drugs.”

According to an arrest citation obtained by WOWK, deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office noticed a car was parked in an employees-only area and went to investigate. When deputies arrived, they spoke with Tricia Croley, 51, and Damon Bennett, 48. Croley allegedly presented deputies with another person’s ID and two bags, one containing contraband and another containing tablets.

Per WOWK, a vehicle search allegedly revealed a bag that read “deffntely not a bag full full of drugs” on the outside. The bag reportedly contained a leafy green substance, a crystal-like substance, and some paraphernalia.

KTIV reports the couple was found to have outstanding warrants once they verified Croley’s identity.

The couple was arrested and charged, according to WOWK. Bennett was charged with failure to appear and was released on bond, and Croley was charged with giving an officer false identification, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her arraignment is scheduled for June 22.
