Kenny Martin has been taking fans inside his world on Season 1 of In The City as he navigates his friendships and relationship with his girlfriend, Whitney Fransway. Kenny and Whitney have not been shy to document the highs and lows of their relationship on the first season of the Bravo show, and Kenny is continuing to give an honest look at their relationship.

Kenny spoke with Bravo Insider earlier this month, where he opened up about dating Whitney as well as shed more light on his career and his relationship with his dad after being estranged for many years. As for what it’s been like for him to put himself out there on the series, he noted, “It’s been a journey.”
Lucky for Kenny, he has Whitney by his side, who previously appeared on The Bachelor, there to offer him some advice. “I think that the advice was like just be yourself, and stand up for what you believe in. But also, like, if there’s something that you need to own and apologize [for] then do that as well. Right? So, Whitney did this like 10 years ago, and she’s an expert at just kind of like doing it, not listening to any of the feedback, and all this stuff. And then I’m still kind of like navigating through it all a little bit.
Who is Kenny Martin on In The City?
Kenny is a “self-made real estate investor and venture capitalist” who moved in with Whitney “after less than a year of dating.” According to an announcement for In The City Season 1, “After appearing on The Bachelor, Whitney’s always been a romantic at heart, willing to take risks for love while Kenny, Kyle [Cooke]’s friend and Loverboy investor, is the blunt truth-teller who’s never afraid to challenge those closest to him. As their relationship deepens and Kenny grapples with the recent passing of his mother, they must confront their mismatched timelines.”
Are Kenny Martin and Whitney Fransway still together?
Yes, as Kenny recently shared when chatting with Bravo Insider on their relationship today. “We’re doing great, honestly,” he said. “Our relationship has gone through these struggles and periods of excitement, being criticized and having to defend it, and working through grief. And it feels like we have gone through everything together.”
“She has been ride or die with me, and vice versa,” he continued. “And we’re just in a really, really, really great place right now.”
Kenny admitted that he and Whitney have even talked about starting a family together. “I think we’ve talked about it a lot. Literally, all of her friends are pregnant. Our goal is to have two, maybe three, before 40. She just turned 35. We’ve got a 5-year plan. And I think that’s very, very achievable.”Â
What is Kenny Martin’s job?
Kenny shared insight into his career in real estate in his interview with Bravo Insider. “I invest in real estate and apartment buildings, and just kind of doing deals. We closed a deal that was an $85 million deal two months ago,” he said. “So we’re kind of digesting that a little bit and going to start renovations on it and focus on some venture capital stuff on the side and just grinding.”
Kenny continued, noting that he wants to keep building his business for his future with Whitney. “I think when you’re building any business and when you’re investing in venture capital, you don’t get exits all the time. You are investing and reinvesting in the business, and investing in your team, and investing in your culture and investing in someone else’s idea on the venture side,” he said. “One day, I want to retire and have a family and sit on the beach. But right now, the enjoyment is coming through the process of building and creating.”

What happened with Kenny Martin’s dad?
During In The City Season 1, Episode 5, Kenny was able to track down his estranged father with the help of a private investigator. He told Bravo Insider that he has since “reconnected” with his dad. “Things are awesome with my dad. He’s fully back in my life. And we’re in each other’s lives,” he said.
“I’ve seen him multiple times now. We talk weekly. And he’s an outlet, especially with this show,” he added. “There’s a lot going on and a lot of kind of scrutiny. And it’s nice to have someone to talk to that, you know, he hasn’t been in my life in the last 25 years. But yeah, he knows who I am.”
